She giggled. "Nice names…"
Who wants a romance o/o? (OPEN)
"Thank you!" His smile was bright and amused, proud of himself for getting her to giggle. "I'll let you name the next fish I get."
Laura smiled, finding herself opening up to him more than she had anyone in her whole life. Except maybe one person…
"We actually had a cat, a couple years ago, and I named him Jesus. Aaron said that was the last time I could ever name any of our pets, so I got my own."
Laura smiled and made a brief note in her book.
Nicky looked up at the glow in the dark stars on his ceiling, and then at the stuffed fish on his bed. "This probably looks like a four year old's room, doesn't it?"
"No, I like it. Uh, I think it's creative. Reminds me of the Owl City song…" she remarked.
"Which one?"
"Uh, The Bird and The Worm." She blushed softly and studied the color of her socks.
"If you're my girl, swirl me around your room with feeling, and as we twirl the glow in the dark stars on your ceiling will shine for us as love sweeps over the room, 'cause we tend to make each other blush, you make me blush." He sang softly, eyes on the stars.
She looked up at him, her eyes wide. "Y-You like Owl City?"
"How could I not? They've got the perfect…well, everything, really."
Laura smiled excitedly. "I love Owl City!"
"Maybe I'll serenade you with them someday." He grinned down at her.
She blushed shyly. "Uh, alright. I-If you want to."
"I do."
She blushed harder. "O-Okay…"
"Dance with me." He said suddenly, grabbing an ipod and picking through it before placing it in a speaker.
"I-I don't dance," she said quietly.
"All you really have to do is sway." Nicky turned to her, smiling softly, and held out his hand.
"I really don't…" She looked at the ground.
"You sure?" He raised an eyebrow, the smile not leaving.
She nodded.
"M'kay!" He pressed play on the ipod, and grabbed her hand, pulling her over to sit on the bed.
She stumbled and, as a result, sat closer to him than she wanted to. Her face grew hot. "Oh, uh, I-I'm sorry…" she stammered, scooting away.
"It's fine." He said, laughing a bit. He hadn't let go of her hand, and was playing with her fingers idly.
She blushed and looked at her lap.
"Y'know, I still don't know too much about you so…what's your favorite color?"
"I don't know… uh, I like dark colors…"
"That's very not specific." He said simply. "Food?"
