"Yeah of course I do," Cory sighed, "They're all going on trips with their families or girlfriends or boyfriends."

"What about the girls chasing you the other day?" just saying that made her mad. "Couldn't you join one of them" she clenched a fist but hid it from him

Cory huffed, "Tch, I wish they didn't chase me around. Honestly, that's a huge downside of being popular. I'm not interested in them." He smiled, "I just want to be friends with them. What about you don't you have any friends to hang out with?"

"People don't like me usually so your my only friend." She felt better now that she heard how he felt. "Also my family are overseas so I can't see them."

"That really sucks," Cory frowned and sighed, "My mom is sick and doctors say I shouldn't visit her."

"That's what's awful. A kid should be able to see his mother if she's sick" then whispered very quietly. "Or pshco"

"Well I suppose, though I'll just let the doctors do their thing." He glanced up at the sky where the sun was setting. "We'd best head home its getting late

"I can walk you home?" she smiled widely

"Oh, sure. I wouldn't mind the company." Cory started heading on to the sidewalk that led to his house

"Yay!" She followed him happily

He walked at a steady pace besides her, "The sunset looks nice, doesn't it?"

"Kinda surreal if you think of it"

"Yeah…" He stopped in front of his house "Well I guess I'll be seeing you."

"S-See ya!"

Cory walked inside and closed the door, She's such a nice girl. He thought, I'm glad to have a friend like her.

She started shaking then laughed a little "No one will take him from me"

The next morning, Cory woke up feeling tired and slightly nauseous. "Hmm…" He sighed, "I'd better go eat."

Tara was walking to the store to get food when she walked by cory's house

Cory peered out the window whilst eating a bagel. Is that Tara..? He thought sleepily.

She noticed a dog and bent down trying to see if it would go over to her

Cory quickly through some better clothes on and went outside with a leash, his dog Cassy was outside, Ugh I hope she isn't being a nuisance to Tara Cory slipped on some shoes and opened the door.

Tara was petting her. "such a cute dog!" she didn't want to seem like she was hiding was. like she was 'normal', not psycho.

"Um, hey Tara! How are you? I see you've met my dog, Cassy." Cory laughed, "Honestly I've no idea how she got out…"

"She's so cute!" she chuckled

"Thanks. I'd better put her back inside. You wanna come in? I make coffee or something. Or we could go get breakfast or coffee somewhere." He suggested, "I've got nothing to do today."

"I was about to go to the store but that sounds nice"

"We can stop there afterward if you want." He said with a smile.

"Sure why not" she smiled 'Yay! he wants to get coffee with me!' she thought to herself.

They walked to the nearest coffee shop, "Okay what do you want? I'll pay."
