"No, it's fine. Trust me." He smiled warmly.

"Okay," He ordered himself a Chai Latte, they sat down to wait for their drinks, "You sounded kinda sad when we ordered, are you okay?" He questioned looking at her concerned

"Y-Yeah!" she smiled widely. "Never better"

He looked uncertain, but he didn't question any further. Instead, he checked his phone as the drinks were set down, "Ugh Kaylee just texted me about a…party?" He looked up at Tara and frowned.

"Actually she's inviting anyone from our school who can come. Also, it's a pool party. Do you want to go with me? It's tonight." Cory took a sip of his coffee

"I guess…I don't know how they'll react when i get there"

Cory sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, "If they want me there then they'll have to have you there too." He grinned.

"Exactly. So what do you say?"

"Sure. Who knows it could be fun!"

"Yeah! I should hope so." He paused to take a drink, "Now lets go to the store for the stuff you need."

"Ok." she said laughing a little

They headed to the store, "Okay what do you need?"

"Just tea and sugar."

"Alright," They got the items and walked back to Cory's house, "So I'll see you at six? Would you like me to pick you up? I can use my car

She waved goodbye as she headed home. 'Why is he being so nice?'

A couple hours later when it was 6, Cory grabbed his swimsuit and headed to his car.and started driving over to Tara's house

Tara noticed his car and came out of her house. she waved at him slightly

"Hey Tara!" Cory waved from his car, "Get in."

She got in on the passenger's side with a small bag in her hand. "Thanks for taking me!"

"Of course." He smiled charmingly, "It's my pleasure

They drove to Kaylee's house and got out of the car. Kaylee and a bunch of other girls noticed him and started swarming him, "Hiii Cory! How are youuuu?!" They questioned trying to be cute.

"Can you give him some room please?" she said trying not to show her psycho side

"Ah, thank you Tara." Cory waved the girls off, "I'll talk to all of you later, alright?" The girls nodded and fluttered their eyelashes seductively. Cory turned to Tara, "Thanks for the help."
