There's a species called the Menti Celesti. Their world is a true utopia, more advanced than just about any civilisation, with technology one could only dream of. But they had a cruel tradition of taking species from different worlds and time periods and forcing them into a gladiator fight, just for the entertainment. Really, the Menti Celesti were obsessed with mortality, seeing as they lived such long lives and didn't think much of dying. However, on her 180th birthday, a new Imperial rises to power and breaks this cruel tradition. She is the youngest ruler this world has had yet. But one survivor still remains, having been plucked out at the destruction of their somewhat primitive civilisation. However, the matter of what to do with them still stands. Sending them back to a horrific fate would be inhumane, but their other options are equally gracious.

Then, the Imperial makes a decision: That the human is underneath their personal protection until a decision is reached. And that's roughly when our story begins.

This is a romance, they'll gradually fall for each other as the plot moves along. I'll post the rules and character template below.and

Rules:
Rated M for gore, profanity, ahem adult situations, and mature themes.
No Mary Sues!

Age: 180, looks around 18.
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Appearance: 5' 6", straight, waist-length strawberry-blonde hair with darker roots, wide, friendly cloud-grey eyes. Freckled, with pale skin, a rounded face and snub nose. Thin form but surprisingly strong despite it. Wears knee-length white robes with gold along the fringes and white trousers as well as a medallion with the Imperial Seal on it and a tight gold with underneath as well as a gold sash tied around the waist of the robes.
Personality: Assertive, compassionate, an idealist with more pragmatic methods. Open to new suggestions, but once she's officially decided on something there isn't much to change her mind. While stubborn, she still admits to failure. Headstrong and reckless when emotional, otherwise reasonably level-headed.

Fantastic. Can't wait to see them.

Name: Kyle ‘Kai’ Rurrow
Age: 20
Gender: male
Sexuality: bi-sexual
Appearance: tall and well built, muscular from excessive training but like… not ripped if you know why I mean. On the paler side and has a slight tan in the summer months, soft and shortish black hair that is always messy and looks like he has constantly run his hand through it from agitation, dull blue, icey eyes.
Personality: Level headed, loyal to the few he cares about. Will be kind to those who deserve it, mainly kids, the poor and other innocents. He is a hard working student studying forensic science. He isn’t introverted but he isn’t extroverted either. He is kind and caring unless he dislikes you. Hates the rich and the snobbish. Can fight and will fight is he needs too. Hot headed at times, perfectionist, intelligent.
Background: Kyle was abandoned on the streets as a young child, given off to a homeless Cuban woman when he was about three years old (He ended up learning how to speak both Spanish and English because of her background) His parents already had two older children, teenagers, and they didn’t want another child so they dropped him. They were very rich and snobbish from what Kyle learnt about them in later years.
He took to learning an education from studying in the local library for many years before he eventually got a job. The woman who was looking after him died when he was about 10 and he lived on the streets for another five years before he was put into foster care. He went to school and was surprisingly more intelligent then a lot of kids there. He was a subject of bullying and harassment, he also developed depression, anxiety and took to self harm during these final years at school. Has tried to commit suicide twice.

"Lady Imperial, are you really sure about this?" a young woman asked. She followed the other into the lift, just before Suri could close the doors. "Relax, Coordinator Rodan. Don't get your robes in a twist. It's just a human, how much of a problem could they be?" she asked. Suri turned to a panel on the wall. "Computer, bring me to Organism 1036's containment chamber, and prepare to bring it out of stasis." she ordered. "Instructions received, Madame Imperial." the computer chirped, and the pair teleported to a stasis pod in a darkened room. Suri opened it up, Rodan flinched as she did so. She ran a hand through her jet black hair, dark eyes glittering as she watched in anticipation at what the Imperial would do next, or how the human would react. "Don't worry." Suri muttered. "You ordered me not to worry. I'm not." Rodan said. "I was talking to myself." Suri snapped at the older-by-a-few-decades woman. "Well, you could have said so." Rodan pointed out.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle stumbled, regaining his senses slowly. His head hurt, everything hurt actually but it didn't matter much to him. He blinked a few times, trying to see in the darkened room until his gaze was drawn to the two women a few steps away from him. He frowned, "Who… who are you? Where am I?"

"Greetings, specimen. Cower in the presence of…. damn, my translator's broken… there," Rodan fiddled with a small disk on her collar. "Ahem. Greetings, specimen. Cower in the presence of Madame Imperial Surielovnetchkrodanariatchbel. You have been graced by the highest authority, respect her and fear her." she repeated. Suri groaned, facepalming. "You didn't need to… listen, call me Suri. Don't mind her, every civilisation needs a resident asshat. And you would be?" she extended a hand to assist the male in standing up.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle eyed her hand cautiously before he decided on taking it. He let go of her hand was he was up before he responded slowly, "Kyle. Kyle Rurrow but people just call me Kai. Perdón pero ¿dónde estoy exactamente?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck before realising they probably wouldn't understand what he meant but did he care? No.

"You're on the planet Lunaria in the Kithel sector. The randomizer selected you for the Desolation Trials, but given that those were outlawed as soon as I came to power, the arena has been shut down. However, your planet was recently destroyed, and we decided it would be inhumane to send you back to your fate." Suri explained calmly.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle blinked once. Twice. Three times before he shook his head and took a step back, "No. No. I am not on an alien planet, and I am not the last human to ever live," He swallowed, "Earth can't be gone…"

"Fifteen units, please." Rodan held out an expectant hand. Suri groaned and slapped a small bag of silver coins in the woman's hand. "Told you it would take the news badly." Rodan smirked. "Do you think it's insensitive to bet on human emotions when one's in the room?" Suri whispered to Rodan.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Damn right it's insensitive," Kyle snapped, glaring at the two of them, "And stop calling me ''it.' I don't like being compared to a make believe murderous clown. Look, I don't care who you are or what you are but I don't want to be here so just kill me and I'll be be out of your hair and I'll have what I've wanted for a while now. Sound fair?"

"Well, you're an endangered species, so we're not allowed to do that. However, we have an efficient integration program we could start you on, if it helps." Suri offered shyly.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Integration program? As in, 'We'll teach you how to live here' integration program?" Kyle raised a brow before shaking his head, "No thanks. I'd you kill me because if you don't I might."

"A bastardisation of the original, but not totally incorrect." Rodan offered.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle rolled his eyes, "Great, that makes me feel so much about about all this, thanks."

"There are plenty of civilisations with biology fundamentally similar to yours. Really, as a species, humans are bog standard. However, we could scan your biodata and find a decent enough match with another species about as developed as you and help you to settle in. This may take a decade or so, but that's barely any time at all really, and you'll be right as rain here until we can get all figured out." Suri told him.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle rubbed at his face with both hands, wincing a little in pain as he did so, "So what you're saying is," he started slowly, "I have to stay on this alien planet until you can find me a better alien planet to live on? And this well take around ten years before I'm completely settled? Great that's just… great." He sighed.

"Maybe twenty years. Or fifty." Rodan clarified. Suri nodded at this. "Don't worry. As I said, it's hardly any time at all, really."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle shook his head with a small laugh, "Do you know how long humans live for on average? Around seventy years. So saying it's going to take fifty f-cking years for me to settle? I'm going to be dead by then!"

"Ah… that could present something of an issue." Suri coughed, shuffling awkwardly.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Well no sh-t Sherlock," Kyle snapped, "Do you even know anything about humans?"

person_off

"Well, there was an advanced study, but I never bothered looking into your files. Humans are hardly a significant species, in retrospect, they should have been wiped out ages ago." Suri told him

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle rolled his eyes, "Thanks for that. I knew I was insignificant but you just confirmed my suspicious." He muttered the last part and sighed through his nose.

"Well, you can't expect that your species would actually evolve into anything remotely civilis-Suri, why are we wasting time on it? You have a meeting with Parliment in half a span, and you can't miss it. Let's just shove the thing back into stasis and forget the whole mess." Rodan snapped. Suri glared at the woman and, despite being shorter, cast a looming effect over her. "Rodan, you will show some respect, or I will have you demoted. It's my choice to take care of the poor creature, I'd like you to respect that." she said coldly.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle snorted, "Jesus Christ! I am not an it and I am not some poor creature either! And if I'm so insignificant to this universe then just kill me already! Is it that hard to do so? I don't give a damn if I'm the last human ever, it's not like I'm actually going to like my life on another alien planet anyway knowing everything I ever worked for in my life has been destroyed! And if not now then I'll be dead sooner or later so why not bring that process forward, huh? Then I get what I want and you don't have some mess to clean up!"
