Avengers Second Generation {CLOSED}

“Go where?” Meg said, running after him.

Strange held up his hand out in front of him and expertly conjured a portal using his sling ring that lead right into Castor's palace.

Meg had no time to stop. She tumbled through the portal, landing face first on the icy ground. “Ow,” she muttered weakly.

"Ooo Pretty. Shinny." Elizabeth reaches for the orb in the blobs hand.

Kerenza pulls her hand with the orb away from Eliza. "Not yet…don't touch the shiny quite yet ok…?"

Elizabeth squints at the blob, 'You sound familiar."

Kerenza smiles. "It's Kerenza…"

Meg had no time to stop. She tumbled through the portal, landing face first on the icy ground. “Ow,” she muttered weakly.

Strange teacher a hand down to help her up, but what he saw first made his blood run cold.

Kelly was curled in a fetal heap around the knife in her chest. Her eyes were open and her lips were parted, but the glassy look in her eyes confirmed the worse.

Meg didn’t see the hand DS offered her, but when she lifted up her head, she did see Kelly. Abandoning all thoughts of stealth, she screamed, “NO!” And began crawling towards her lifeless friend.

Strange withdrew his hand and stood frozen, looking at his daughter.

“Kelly!” Meg sobbed, cradling Kelly’s body in her arms. “No, no, no, Kelly.”

"She didn't deserve life. Any more that you do." Castor stood at the end of the hallway, admiring the spectical.

Meg looked up. “You!” She started to try to stumble to her feet, but she only made it to her knees. Shock was overwhelming her. “How could you do this?!”

(Shh… XD)

Castor shrugged. "It wasn't that hard, really. Just conjured an ice blade and-"
Suddenly, he flew back and smashed into a pillar made of ice. Strange advanced quickly.

Meg’s face contorted. “How- how could you-“ her voice was jarringly uneven. “HEARTLESS!” She screamed at him, spitting at the floor near his feet. She felt a rush of dark satisfaction at Strange’s actions.

Strange bound Castor quickly, but not before throwing him around a little. Castor grinned. In a heartbeat, the temperature dropped 20°.

Meg’s lips were starting to turn blue. She curled up on the floor, her joints feeling like shattered ice. “Kelly….”

Elizabeth had stood and her sight was starting to clear, "Where is everyone?" She leans on Kerenza's shoulder with a hand.

"Meg!" Strange yelled in alarm. He hesitated for a second before creating a dome around her and Kelly. Warmth flooded the air, but he was left undefended. Castor saw his moment and struck, sending a forceful wind that knocked Strange over. Ice shards momentarily pinned him to the wall. Castor walked over to Meg. "Well, well, well."

Meg’s eyes focused, then unfocused, then focused again. She blinked, bewildered, at the sight of Strange against the wall. Castor’s feet coming towards her was all she could see, but it was enough. “No.”

Castor tried to destroy the dome. It didn't work. He paced over to Strange angrily. "What did you do?!" But Strange seemed just as shocked.

“What’s-“ Meg’s hand passed easily through the dome. “What’s happening?”

Castor sent more ice spikes at Strange and at the dome. The dome did not break, but Strange was not maintaining it. It should have been destroyed by now without someone to keep it there.

Meg pulled her hand in, barely missing being impaled by an ice spike. “Doctor Strange? What’s….” Meg’s body trembled, but from fear, not cold.

Strange tore away from the restraints and bound Castor again. Yet the dome still stayed.

Meg was determined to fight, not just sit there, but when she made to stand, a sharp pain ran through her leg. Looking down, she saw that her foot had been outside the dome, and had gotten hit by Castor’s ice shards. Her flesh was peppered with wounds, some deep, some shallow. “Ow.”

(Not telling.)

Strange rushed over and began treating Meg' s wounds carefully.
