“No,” Meg scowled through gritted teeth. “Fight him. For-“ she gulped “-for Kelly.”

"Keep yourself inside, okay?" Strange didn't stop.

“I know.” Meg curled up tighter. “Go.”

Strange looked at her firmly before standing up and preparing to fight Castor.

Castor broke free and smirked. "Is that the best you can do? Kelly would be so disappointed."

Meg shrunk back, curling up around Kelly's frozen body.

Kelly's breath slipped in her nose softly.

Meg froze in the metaphorical sense of the word. She put a hand an inch under Kelly’s nose, praying she’d really felt an intake of air from her friend.

Kelly exhaled, right onto Meg's hand.

Meg inhaled sharply. Thank God. She wrapped a protective arm around Kelly, pretending to weep on her shoulder. “Play dead. They think you’re dead,” she whispered into Kelly’s ear.

"I… know…" Kelly spoke faintly through breath.

Meg sobbed, “Kelly!” a few times for dramatic effect and then whispered, “Keep it up.”

"You're… quite… the… actress…" A ghosty smile played on her lips, not too noticeable. "Is… my… dad… here…?"

“Yes,” Meg breathed. “Fighting.”

Kelly exhaled, but it was so quiet, Meg couldn't tell if she was still breathing or not.

Meg just lay there, feeling Kelly’s heart beat rebelliously against her chest. She was so relieved.

Kelly could feel the power draining from her from keeping the dome protected from Castor. She was glad that Meg was fine though.

Elizabeth tries to reach out anyone, 'Kelly?! Anyone! Please answer! What is going on?!'
