Acacia laughed louder as she smiled at Lily, "Of course! What do you need help with?"

Laura watched them all talk and wondered how they could do it. Just talking for more than three minutes uninterrupted made her feel anxious. She looked at her ideas. They were all trash. She turned the page and started to jot.

"Mmm, insanity is my specialty. Hey Laura, what did you think about that poem of mine? Anything you could use?"

Acacia laughed louder as she smiled at Lily, "Of course! What do you need help with?"

"This assignment. I did the experiment with my partner but I got the questions wrong." She explained, puking out her assignment sheet

Laura looked up quickly. "Yes, it was very good," she said shyly.

Acacia nodded as she searched and pulled out her won sheet, "I got a couple wrong, but most of them are right and I wrote the correct answers I got from the teacher next to the wrong ones. So where should we begin?"

"I know it wasn't that good." Kai said, typing extremely fast. "Hope it might at least help."

"No, it was good. I liked it," Laura assured her.

Acacia nodded as she searched and pulled out her won sheet, "I got a couple wrong, but most of them are right and I wrote the correct answers I got from the teacher next to the wrong ones. So where should we begin?"

Lilly pointed to a few problems and waited for Acacia to explain

Acacia looked at Lilly's answers before her own sheet, then pointed out the exact point as to where Lilly had gotten it wrong and tried to explained how she could not make the same mistake in the future.

"Well that makes much more sense!" She said, jotting down the correct formulas

Acacia grinned, "Yeah, formulas can be a pain sometimes."

Laura bit her lip. They didn't know she was failing chem… She needed to be over there, but she stayed put.

"You aren't getting in on the studying Laura?" Kai still didn't look up, fingers flying over the screen.

"Uh… n-no. I'm fine," she replied quietly.

"Uh huh." Laura's phone went off with a text from Kai.

Laura checked her device.

[Go ask if you can join. Or you and I can study together later. I happen to have a source that says you might need it.]

Laura turned pink and bit her lip heavily.

Kai looked up, meeting her eyes, and raised an eyebrow questioningly.

She slowly texted back.

[I'm fine]

[Do you need to see a screenshot of your grade report? We're going to the library after this, I'll bring Ava and she can hang out in the coffee shop.]

Laura pulled her hair over her face.

[Ok]

Even her texts were short.

Kai shot her a small smile, and resumed texting with one hand, plugging in a pair of earbuds with the other.

Laura realized what she'd been writing. Her palm covered her lips slowly, then dropped into her lap.
