Eli rolled his eyes. "Just trying to lighten the mood a little."
Jace nodded, lost in thought. "Alright. You two could go try to find her, and we'll go back to the ringmaster and Haile, and get some information."
Ella nodded. "Sure." She started walking, giving a last little wave to the group.

Eli waved as well. "Adios!" He exclaimed jokingly, walking after Ella.
The moment they were out of sight, Ella stopped and leaned against the wall, closing her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Eli asked, walking up and leaning against the wall as well.
She shook her head. "This is impossible. It's painful. I mean, why us?"

Eli sighed. "Think of it this way: we of all people still get to live out our life in this world, even after death. Don't think of it as a bad thing, think of it as an opportunity."
Ella opened an eye. "Look at you, Mr. Wise Guy." She inhaled and pushed off from the wall. After dusting herself off, she linked her arm with Eli's and nodded to the corridor. "Shall we?"

He nodded, grinning slightly. "We shall." Eli began walking.
Jace, Lia, Leo, Ana, and Griffin walk back to the room where the ringmaster and Haile were. Thankfully, they were both still there.

Ella walked beside Eli, nervously scanning the corridor. "Do you think she got out?"

"She couldn't have gone too far, so if she did we should be able to catch her. There aren't many places to hide so someone might see her if she escaped." Eli pointed out.
Griffin crouched down in front of his father. "What do you know about Alice Murray?"
