(Sorry for the extremely late reply! I was in class.)
Cliché Roleplay [Closed]
"Hey… Al, can you spend the night, please? So we can talk about what's happened in our lives while we've been apart?" Luna asked Alyssa after they cried for a while.
(Sorry! I'll be gone for a while (like the rest of today and some of tomorrow), and I've been gone for a while. grimaces But I'll post now!)
"Hunter! Uh, yeah, we can talk," Kenzie said, absentmindedly twirling a piece of hair around her finger as she spoke. "Do you want to come in?"
(Awh, we’ll pause for you cuz then it gets super confusing)
Hunter nodded slowly, grateful.
“Thanks, Kenz…” he said, not sure if she’d heard him or not because she disappeared inside her house. To open the door, he assumed. Didn’t take a genius to guess that.
(I'm back!)
Kenzie walked off the patio and back into the living room. What a strange day, she thought, making her way to the door of her apartment. Standing at the door, she waited for Hunter to knock.
Hunter hesitated before knocking, taking a deep breath. He waited for a second for Kenzie to open the door and tried to regain his composure. He wouldn't seem weak in front of her; all he needed to do was talk to her.
Alyssa agreed to spend the night and went to get her toiletries from her house which was a couple blocks away.
She decided to stop at Hot Beans after, to get a little something for her and Luna.
It was there that she found Rob Wilder. (My last paragraph ;) )
Hunter knocked, and Avery opened the door, smiling.
"Hey, Hunter," she said, leading him into the kitchen. "What's up?"
Alyssa and Rob sat together in a small booth, for two. They stared at each other and sipped at their coffee for five minutes before Rob ended the awkward silence.
"I'm a regular," he said softly. Alyssa twirled her hair carelessly and said, "So am I, but I never see you here…"
Rob laughed and explained that he came to Hot beans every day before work, at about 5:30, right when the shop opened. The two talked and made jokes, and talked about their lives. Suddenly Alyssa jumped up. She had lost track of time! She was supposed to be at Luna's house ten minutes ago.
"Oh my Gosh! I almost forgot, I'm going to my cousin's house tonight, I better run along," she muttered, slipping her muffin into her purse.
"Luna?" Asked Rob. Alyssa gave him a strange look. How did he know about Luna? She wrinkled her nose to brush off the thought.
"Yeah, Luna's…" She told him. Rob nodded and walked her out the door. They embraced once more and then parted. Rob watched as Alyssa ran off, into the night. Luna. He thought to himself. Luna's house. That place would be perfect.
(What is he up to?!?)
Hunter opened his mouth, then closed it, trying to think of what to say. When he opened it again, a door opened and he heard a familiar voice.
"Hey, Kenzie, who w-" Hunter froze. In front of him, with a shocked expression on his face, was his ex-best friend, Jordan. Jordan's face twisted up in pure fury, his eyes blazing ferociously as he got over his shock.
"You," Jordan snarled with acid dripping from his voice, his hands clenched so tight that they turned white. "I warned you to never show your filthy face in front of me or the people I cared about again."
Hunter unfroze, faltering. What was Jordan doing here? How did he know Kenzie?
Slowly turning around, he looked at an extremely confused Kenzie.
"I… I should leave," he muttered to Kenzie, clenching his fists. "I didn't know you were his girlfriend."
Kenzie attempted to say something, but Hunter shook his head.
"It's best if we don't meet ever again," he said loudly, his eyes blank and his face void of any emotions as he looked straight at Kenzie. "That's what I came to tell you."
"Perfect decision," Jordan growled. "We don't want you killing another, now do we?"
Hunter flinched, but his face went expressionless again.
"Get out," Jordan hissed. "Get out before I kill you."
Hunter did exactly what he was told. He left.
(IF HE DARES HURT EITHER OF THEM, I'LL KILL HIM)
(Oh my gosh!)
"What is wrong with you? Why would you do that? This is my apartment. I make the rules and I decide who leaves and who stays," Kenzie said, turning to Jordan and giving him her best death-glare. "I'm going to bring him back, and you both are going to tell me what in the world just happened here."
Hunter gritted his teeth, fists clenched. Enraged, he punched the wall. Jordan wasn't supposed to be here. He was out of town; he lived with his father.
Jordan's words kept replaying in his mind. His hatred for Hunter was justified. Hunter had been the reason everything had happened. It was his fault. He should've just stayed away from Kenzie in the first place. From Luna and Alyssa, too. They didn't deserve it.
(Omg? What is he, a serial killer?)
(Hunter? xD Just wait and see suspenseful music)
Shaking her head, Kenzie walked out the door and raced after Hunter, shouting his name. She finally caught up to him, right after he punched the wall.
"Hunter," she said, slightly out of breath, "please come back. Let's talk about this."
Hunter looked at Kenzie in shock.
"You shouldn't have chased after me," he said. "You head what Jordan said. I don't to be the cause of another's death."
A confused look crossed Kenzie's face. "What are you talking about?" she questioned. "You know what, you can tell me at my place. C'mon, follow me." Kenzie grabbed his arm and started to walk back to her apartment.
Hunter didn't argue; he just let Kenzie drag him along. When they reached her apartment, Jordan was on the couch, seething. Kenzie motioned for Hunter to sit down on the couch, and Hunter sat in the far corner, away from Jordan.
Standing in front of the two guys sitting on her couch, Kenzie glared at them and commanded, "Talk. Now."
(laughs Avery again? xD)
(oh, my goodness!)
(Fixed!!! grimaces Avery is my character in one of my other RPs…)
Both boys were quiet at first, refusing to stare at each other.
"Well?" Kenzie glared harder. Jordan shot Hunter a heated glare before turning his attention back to Kenzie.
"I'll start," he said, his voice heavy. "You know we were best friends before," Kenzie nodded. "But there was also someone else who was in our little group; my twin sister." Jordan glared at Hunter with hatred once again. "This murderer and my twin sister got into a relationship a year later, and that was also the time he was a messed up kid." Hunter didn't speak; he didn't bother correcting Jordan. He just let him talk. "He got into a fight with a gang leader. The leader ended up getting caught and was sent to jail. A few months later, he escaped. The scum didn't even bother telling Keira and me. We were completely oblivious. He'd disappear, come back bruised and banged up and wouldn't tell us a thing. Then just a week later, Keira got kidnapped. We both searched for her in the entire town, and when we finally found her…" Jordan paused, his fists clenched and his eyes burning with fury. He trembled in anger, refusing to even look at Hunter. "She was dead. She was tortured to death. Her boyfriend enraged the leader and got my sister involved. The leader killed my twin to get back at him." taking a deep breath, Jordan closed his eyes and gritted his teeth. "And that's what happened."
(It's okay xD)
Kenzie stared at Jordan, trying to control her shock, then turned to face Hunter. "Well," she started, her voice trembling. She tried again, her voice steady and hard this time, "Well. Hunter? Care to explain your side of the story?"
Hunter looked like he was about to object, but Kenzie cut him off. "Don't tell me you don't have one. Everyone has their own version of what happened. Including you."
Hunter fell quiet for a moment, looking at Jordan and then back at Kenzie.
"I…" he paused, swallowing thickly. His throat felt dry and he didn't know what to say. "The day I got into a fight… K… Keira and I were on a date," he started in a low voice, looking down on his lap. "She was really pretty and sometimes her beauty attracted the wrong attention. That afternoon, Keira had to leave early because Jordan was sick and I had some errands to do." Hunter found difficulty in telling his side of the story. For years he believed Jordan's version and that it was his fault, but now Kenzie was making him explain his side of the story and it was hard. "When she left, I… heard a bunch of guys talking about her. They passed on vulgar comments and obviously, I was angry. They were talking about my Keira. The next thing I knew, we were fighting and the police arrived. They caught the guy and then told me they had been searching for him for months." His mouth felt dry as he continued, the words flowing out easier than before. "It turned out he was a gang leader as well as a serial rapist. He'd assault a woman and then leave her to die. I didn't know that before I attacked him.
"When he was arrested, his gang was furious. I couldn't let them hurt Jordan or Keira, so I made a deal with them. They could hurt me as much as they wanted as long as they kept their hands off of them. It worked for a few months. Then their leader escaped and he wanted revenge. What better way to do it than kidnap my girlfriend? She was already his target and I had just made things easier for him. By the time I realized his plans, she had disappeared. Jordan and I tried tracking down as best as we could but… when we found her," his voice cracked, his figure trembled. Halfway through his story, Hunter had his face in his hands, refusing to look up. "You know the rest. Jordan's right. It was my fault. I was the reason she ended up that way. I killed Keira."
"Hunter," Kenzie whispered gently as she sat down next to him. She pulled his hands away from his face and looked him straight in the eye. "That wasn't your fault. Those men, it was their fault, not yours. They are the ones to blame for this."
