"I should've been able to protect her," Hunter argued, his eyes tearing up as he bit his lip in frustration. "She was my girlfriend! I should've kept an eye on her the minute I heard he had escaped. I should've told Jordan. But I didn't. I kept it to myself and I got a dead girlfriend and a best friend who wants to kill me in return."

"Hunter, listen to me!" Kenzie exclaimed, still looking into his eyes to get her point across. "You cannot be everywhere at once, and you cannot protect everyone. Sometimes things happen that we wish we could change, but we can't, and that's that. We can either run from the past, or we can learn from it. It's your choice."
Hunter fell silent for a moment. For years, Hunter blamed himself for the death of his girlfriend. He didn't even attend her funeral, thinking he wasn't worthy enough to show up. He refused to visit her grave, knowing he was the one who put her there.
It felt ironic that in those thirty minutes, a few words broke his resolve.
"So what am I supposed to do now?" he asked, his voice shaking. "I don't even know what I'm supposed to do anymore…"
Dropping Hunter's hands and standing up, Kenzie said softly, "Let her go. Move on. Fall in love again."
(And Jordan just watches the whole exchange awkwardly… Lol.)
(I don't know what to make him do lol)
"It's not that easy," he whispered. "She's all that I see…"
(Brb! I'll be back in a while; I got class ;^;)
(Ik, me neither! Ok, have fun, lol.)
Kenzie thought for a minute then finally spoke, asking Hunter, "Have you visited her grave, recently? That might help. And don't be too proud to cry, either. Just let it all go. I know you won't forget her, and I'm certainly not going to ask you to do that, but just realize that she's not here anymore. She's not coming back. Honor her memory by falling in love again, with someone new."
(Whee, I love free time during lessons laughs)
Hunter fell silent before curling his lips.
"… you're right…" he finally says. "It won't do me any good, running away from her forever. Thank you, Kenz…"
"Yeah, of course," Kenzie replied, a gentle smile lifting the corners of her mouth. "Hey, if you ever need anyone to talk to, just remember that I'm here, okay?"
After Alyssa left, Rob went and sat down again. He pulled a new folder out of his jacket pocket. He opened it up. Inside were pictures of beautiful girls, each of them with red ex across their eyes. Rob found a picture of Alyssa. He picked up the picture and sighed. This one had no ex across the eyes, it was Alyssa smiling, a beautiful Caribean in the background. Then he spotted one of his favourite pictures of all time. It was a gorgeous, young girl. She wore a purple dress and she had dazzling brown eyes, sadly crossed out with an ex. Keira. He remembered too well. The day she vanished. He wiped a tear from his eye and stuffed the pictures back in the folder. He had to move on. It was Alyssa's turn anyway.
(gasp Oh oh! Was it Rob who killed Keira? Is that is? HUNTER'LL KILL HIM. JORDAN AND HUNTER TOGETHER)
Hunter smiled gratefully.
"Thank you again," he whispered. Then he turned to look at Jordan, who refused to make an eye contact with him. The boy stood up and stalked over to what Hunter assumed was his room, and shut the door.
Well, thought Hunter. Not everything can be resolved quickly…
"I have another favor…" Hunter asked quietly, knowing he had burdened Kenzie enough but couldn't bring himself to do this alone.

(OMG CALLIE YOU FAN YOURSELF IN INTENSE SITUATIONS TOO?! WOAH I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE!)

(FINALLY, I HAVE FOUND ANOTHER! I THOUGHT I WAS THE LAST OF MY KIND!)
(You guys are funny! :D Lol. Sorry I was gone, I had things to do.)
"Yeah? What is it?" Kenzie gently prompted Hunter, a concerned look crossing her face.
(Where did everyone go? fake pouts)
(Hi, sorry I have to go for a while, I'll be back later… I just have to go to the orthodontist for my check up on how I'm doing with my retainer. Don't wait for me!)
(Ok!)
(You guys are funny! :D Lol. Sorry I was gone, I had things to do.)
(Haha thank you xD and you’re good!)
“Could you accompany me to Keira’s grave…?” He asked quietly. “I haven’t gone to see her ever since she died. I don’t think I can do it alone… I woukd have asked Jordan but…” he laughed bitterly. “As you can see, he still blames me.”
Kenzie's eyes warmed, and her smile wavered a bit. "Yeah. Yeah, I'll come," she agreed. Then she laughed, remembering something Hunter had said earlier. "And by the way, Jordan is not my boyfriend. He's my new roommate. He couldn't stay in his old place, so he asked if he could stay here for a while."
“Thank you again, Kenz,” Hunter smiled warmly, smiling properly for the first time since he had lost his best friend and his girlfriend. Then she laughed and told Hunter that Jordan was not her boyfriend, and he grinned sheepishly.
“He seems fond of you,” Hunter said, although he felt a jab as he thought of Kenzie in a relationship with someone. He immediately shook the thought away.
Kenzie laughed again at the thought of Jordan liking her. "Yeah, okay, Hunter. Do you want to go now, or tomorrow?"
“Tomorrow’s fine,” he responded quietly. “I don’t think i’m ready to face her right now.”
"Okay. Do you want to meet me there, or should we go together? And what time?" Kenzie asked.
“I can come by the apartment at 12 in the afternoon,” Hunter replied. “Does that work for you?”
(12 am would be midnight, would it not? How about 12 noon?)
(Shoot, what is wrong with me)
