Matthew suddenly had the strange urge to stroke her hair. but bo, he had only just met this girl. But he couldn't fight the urge. He wrapped his arm around Luna, pulling her slightly closer to him. He turned to face her.
"I feel something when I am with you," He said, gazing into her eyes.
"I know this is weird, but I want to know more about you, talk to you, maybe be friends?"
Matthew cringed at what he said, blushing, he shook his head. I am an idiot, he thought to himself.
Luna blushed and hugged him, "It's not weird at all, we can be friends." she said adding a very quiet "for now" mutter. Soon she realized her move on him and pulled away, "Sorry! I didn't mean to make a move like that… I mean I didn't mean to… uh… ah, fudge why can't I come up with an excuse." Luna stammered as she nervously stood in front of Matthew. Now he won't like me! Noooo! she thought to herself. She looked at the floor, "Sorry." she said to him. "Can we still be friends?" she asked in a quiet voice.

Kenzie walked back to her car and opened the door. Facing Hunter, she smiled and waved goodbye before climbing into the driver's seat. As she drove home, she let her thoughts drift to what had happened over the course of the day. This morning, she had ended up kissing an old friend because she out-of-the-blue decided to bring him pancakes. Then, she had a laughing fit, which turned into another kiss. And finally, she had kissed him herself, which, again, turned into another kiss.
When she finally reached her apartment, she was smiling from ear to ear. After unlocking and opening her door, she walked into the entryway and texted Hunter.
KENZIE: Hey, I'm home! ❤︎

Hunter couldn’t stop thinking about Kenzie. The way her lips felt against her, or the way her fingers tangled themselves in his hair. He kept remembering the way she felt pressed up against him and that’s all he was thinking instead of studying for his exams. When his phone buzzed, he snatched it up faster than he could blink. It was Kenzie.
Hunter: finally, I thought I’d go insane if I didn’t get a text from you.
The heart at the end made his own do a flip, and even slamming his head on the desk didn’t have him stop thinking about how cute she was being. Darn it, he hadn’t even asked her to be his girlfriend, and they even kissed more times than he could count!

After closing her door behind her as she walked into her room, Kenzie closed her eyes and slid down with her back against the door, sighing contentedly. Reaching up with her hand, she touched her lips. She remembered how Hunter's lips had felt against her own, how she had felt pressed into his chest, how his heart had beat with hers, matching it beat for beat.
Her reminiscence was interrupted by her phone buzzing with a text from Hunter. She chuckled as she read it, then sent him her response.
KENZIE: Haha. I'm sure you were suffering unbearably, weren't you? :P Oh, and don't forget about that date you promised me! ;)
She hesitated before clicking "send" but eventually did it.
With a sudden realization, her smile fell. Crap. I've got that paper due tomorrow, and I haven't finished it yet! She quickly picked herself up off her bedroom floor and made her way to her desk, where she tried to concentrate on the effects of a certain drug being used on animals. Her mind kept drifting back to Hunter, though, making it hard to finish.

Smirking at what he said, Hunter leaned back and reached to press ‘send.’ Then he thought of something, and with a mischievous glint in his eyes, he added a smirking emoji and a kiss emoji along with the message before hitting ‘send.’
Realizing how caught up he was with Kenzie, he slapped his forehead.
“You’ve got a bloody exam tomorrow afternoon, you idiot!” Hunter scolded himself. “Get back to studying.”
