Hunter his his face in his hands, trying to hold back his laughter. She was just too adorable.
Hunter: I have an exam tomorrow, so shush.
And I’m all you can think of? That’s how it should be. I want to be all you can think of.

Kenzie giggled and blushed at Hunter's texts. With a sudden thought, she started typing her reply.
KENZIE: You know what? Maybe we should just help each other study/write.

Kenzie yawned, then looked at the text she'd just sent. She gasped when she read it over again. Crap. I hope he doesn't take that the wrong way, she thought, cringing.
Her phone buzzed with his response, and she opened it. She sucked in a breath and her eyes widened as she read it, her blush growing an even deeper shade of red than before. Trying not to get into an awkward situation, she thought of something.
KENZIE: Well, I'm not driving anywhere. Maybe we should video chat?

Hunter thought of the way Kenzie would be blushing and smiled. She got embarrassed too easily. The picture of a blushing Kenzie remained in his mind.
Looks like I won’t be getting anything done tonight…

As Hunter predicted, Kenzie's blush didn't leave her cheeks as she read over his latest text. Shaking her head to try and clear it, she called Hunter. When he answered, she smiled and murmured a sleepy, "Hey."

Hunter fell silent at Kenzie’s question. He noticed her getting a bit nervous, and he smiled to make her feel at ease.
“Honestly, if it were up to me, I wouldn’t have attended college at all,” he finally spoke up. “But due to some… circumstances, I have to. So currently I’m studying biology.”

Kenzie's eyebrows furrowed. "What is it?" she questioned. "I mean, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to…"

Hunter shrugged.
“Nah, it’s okay,” he replied. “You should know.” He twirled his pen around his fingers as a bitter look crossed his features. “I want to be an actor. That’s all I’ve ever dreamt of. Even my love for art can’t top that dream. But you know how my dad’s rich, right?” Hunter paused, trying to think of how to explain. “Well, we sort of got into an argument because I wanted to leave college to pursue that dream. He was already edgy when I put more of my attention on art. It angered him so much more when I told him I wanted to drop out to get into drama. I left the house and moved here after we had a big argument.
“He made a deal with me. I would get into college at least for a year. If I fail to get good grades, I’ll be giving up my dream and moving back in with him. If I do, he won’t interfere anymore.”
