Willow was walking on Kenzie's left, Hunter to her right, and the girls were chatting as they walked. When Kenzie heard what movie they were going to see, she perked up and turned to face Hunter.
"Did you say Black Panther?" Kenzie asked excitedly. "I've been dying to see that movie, but I just haven't had the time to, yet!"

Hunter smirked and dropped his pace to walk alongside Kenzie. He threw an arm over her shoulders, grinning.
“I’ve been dying to see it, too. Ever since they announced this movie, I’ve wanted to abandon everything and watch it,” he glanced at Kenzie, smiling. “It’s a good thing that I didn’t, huh? I’m getting to watch it with you.”

Kenzie's heart melted as Hunter smiled at her, and she wrapped her arm around him, leaning into his side.
"Thanks. I'm glad," she said softly.
Willow quickened her pace a bit to catch up with Leo. She smirked at him as she reached him, nodding back towards their friends.
"So, our friends are deeply in love, apparently," she joked. "What about you? You got a special girl?"

Then Willow joined him (Leo guessed she got tired of the couple’s constant flirting) and they both started talking.
“Oh no,” Leo shook his head. “I am, unfortunately, single. My talents all wasted. What about you? Surely a pretty girl like yourself has someone.”

Leo opened his mouth to reply when he heard an excited squeal. He gasped in disbelief. His best friend had abandoned him, and hadn't even called out to him!
So this is how it's gonna be now, eh, Hunt? He thought to himself darkly, before grinning at Willow.
"Let's run after the traitors and hope we get the top seat!" he didn't wait for Willow's reply as he grabbed her arm and pulled her forward.

Willow let out a soft squeal and ran to the top with Leo. They were just a moment too late, though. Kenzie and Hunter had already reached the top-center seats and sat down. Willow stuck her tongue out at her friend, which Kenzie returned by making an even weirder face.

Hunter chuckled, shaking his head at his gi- his thoughts suddenly froze when that word entered his mind. Girlfriend. Kenzie wasn't his girlfriend.
So what is she? a voice in the back of his mind whispered, but Hunter ignored it and only paid attention to the girl that had occupied his mind.
"Hey, Kenz, don't you ever get tired?" Hunter started, pausing at the confused look he received. He replied with a smirk. "Running in my mind all the time, that is."
Leo, who had taken a seat next to him, pretended to gag again. Hunter ignored him.

With a smirk, Kenzie leaned forward. At the same time, she was subtly reaching into her purse and grabbing something. Just when Hunter thought she was going to kiss him, she pulled back and lifted up a roll of ducktape.
"Are you sure?" she asked playfully, showing him the tape.
