Hunter flopped down on the couch, the day catching up to him.
"Man, I'm tired," he said, yawning as he covered his mouth.

"Nuh-uh. No falling asleep now!" Kenzie exclaimed playfully, sitting at the far end of the couch. "We've got a movie to watch."
Hunter groaned.
"A silly movie with my girlfriend," he sighed. "And she's sitting far away from me as if I have the plague. Goals."

"It's not silly!" Kenzie exclaimed with a gasp of feigned offense, then paused. "Well, okay. It is a little silly, but there's fighting, near-death experiences, and poison, too!"
"Oh, goody," Hunter said sarcastically. "And she's still sitting far away."

Kenzie raised an eyebrow before standing up and walking the few steps to Hunter. She placed herself nearly on top of him as she sat down, then stretched her legs out across the couch, her back resting against his side. Bending her head back so that she was looking at him upside down, she asked, "Is this better?"
Hunter grinned.
"Much better," he said, rubbing her head. "So, play the movie then?"

Over an hour and a half later (yes, I looked it up, don't judge me… ;P), the credits started to roll. Kenzie tilted her head back again and looked Hunter in the eye with a sleepy smile.
"So? What did you think?" she asked softly.
