Juliet jumped back as the wings released him, eyeing him wearily as he began to breathe once more. "Wha- What was that?" She asked as she took a timid step closer. "What just happened?"
Contracts (CLOSED)
(No, it's not your fault, don't worry about it! For now I'll just sit back and watch…again…like I've been doing…)
((Can we have more than one character? I can toss in another human for ya, if it's okay @KoffeeOwl ))
(That would be amazing.)
Zackary heaved and shook his head wildly, his face tilted downward. He looked up slowly, ever so slowly. His eyes were shaded and unfamiliar again, such as when he met him a few hours ago.
“N-nothing. My wings just do that… to remind me of what I’ve put them through.” He ran a finger over a barren spot of feather.
Juliet's eyes went to the barren spot. It had broken her when he'd told her to pluck on of his wings. She reached out a hand and brushed the spot herself. She remembered gripping the feather and tugging ever so slightly, the feather came loose. "They feel pain…" she muttered, more to herself than to Zackary.
Zackary nodded. “They have minds of their own. They’re made from my magic. My soul. They usually aren’t as violent with me as they were just then… I guess they just got upset.” It was odd to talk about his wings like they were people, but they were a seperate part of him. Like his heart was to his brain. Completely different but reliant.
She ran her hand down the entirety of the wing, petting it softly. "That's incredible…" She realized what she said and covered her words. "Not that they got upset with you!" She cast an apologetic glance Zack's way. "Just that they are a part of you, but separate."
((Gtg for tonight))
Zackary nodded glumly. “I understand. It’s cool. We have our own little relationship together… it’s certainly something…” His wings twitched gently under Julie’s hand.
“Oh,” Erik mumbled, Ryan staying quiet this time. The tension between them could’ve been sliced in half with a knife. Erik chewed his lip, giving Cam a desperate look. Help.
"Okay, well you want one?" Cam said, giving both of the boys a stern look that said Take a chocolate or else… He smiled afterward, opening the bag filled with sweets again.
(Decides to interact with Lillian.)
Avi looked back to the street when she heard screams. She quickly shoved her wallet into Sariel's hands. "Get yourself something to eat. I need to check this out." She took off down the street, pressing against the flow of the crowds.

(Yeah, it's no problem!)

Avi looked back to the street when she heard screams. She quickly shoved her wallet into Sariel's hands. "Get yourself something to eat. I need to check this out." She took off down the street, pressing against the flow of the crowds.
People froze in their spots, looking at her in shock and fear. She didn't mind, just watching them, her deep red eyes trailing over each one of them with a slightly insane smile.
Avi spotted a girl whom everyone was running from. She walked calmly towards her. "Hey!" she called out, hands in her hoodie pocket, ready to pull out her pistols if she needed.
At this, Sariel's skin prickled. She was supposed to stay with Avilasa, to make sure that she stayed safe and out of the hands of the police. I didn't think it'd be like this though, Sariel thought, still holding the wallet in her hands, but now looking at the door. Thankfully, there were other people in the restaurant that were taking the attention of the waiters off of Sariel as she stood by the doorway. "You're already making this difficult for me." She mumbled, making the decision to order the food and then follow Avilasa. She had never said, not to come after her.
Whipping around, Sariel spoke to one of the waiters that had come to her, telling him what she wanted as well as which table they were to be at. She snapped her fingers and the man instantly walked away. Pivoting on her heels, Sariel walked out the door and went in the direction she had seen Avilasa go in. At this point, it was easy to follow her, since they had a contract and she was basically tied to Avilasa.
Lillian snapped her eyes to the girl, waving. "Hi there." She twirled her dagger, not threateningly, just playing with it like a psycho.
Avi kinda laughed, startling the people around her away. "What're you doing?" Avi asked curiously. "You're kinda scaring the civilians. Or is that fun?" She wasn't admonishing her, she was genuinely curios. But she kept a good hold on her pistols anyway, just in case.
Juliet smiled faintly and continued to pet those nice, soft feathers. "I'm sorry…." she told them. "I'm sorry that I plucked two of your feathers. It was a part of the contract and I have no intentions of plucking any more." She apologized, meaning every word even though she felt a little silly speaking to Zack's wings.

She shrugged. "Being crazy. But yes, scaring people is rather fun." The red in her eyes faded back to its regular dark green.
The wing wrapped around her shoulders and Zackary crooned softly. They didn’t squeeze her, though she could tell they wanted to.
“They forgive you. Though it is mainly my fault.”
Juliet yelped in surprise. "Oh! Um- Thank you…" She gave them one finally pat before lowering her hand, her eyes sliding to Zackary's as he crooned. Gods, how she loved that sound.
Zackary’s wings shook themselves out before curling up and disappearing. Zackary looked small, skinny and powerless without them. He glanced at her, then gave a slight grin.
Juliet sighed, "They don't seem to like me…" She deflated as she sat beside him once more. She returned that grin with one of her own. "They fit you well… the wings. But without them, you're a little more approachable."
Zackary shrugged. “Hey, they’ll get used to you. They don’t like new contracts, much.” He nudged her a little. “Are you calling me weak-looking without them?”
Juliet raised her hands in defense. "NO, not at all… You just look less inclined to steal souls." She explained with closed eyes, matter-of-factly.
Zackary grinned cutely. “Right, right. I gotcha.” He glanced down at a watch. “Jeez, it sure is early. What are you doing up?”
Juliet lowered her hands and shrug. "I… couldn't sleep." Not a lie, but not the whole truth she thought. "What time is it, anyway?"
From many, many feet away, Sariel listened to the conversation. Despite her distance, the blonde could hear every word just as clearly as if she were standing beside the pair. The streets were thick with people walking in every direction, and Sariel had changed her appearance via an illusion since choosing her position on the sidewalk. This is who she was so worried about? Sariel wondered, still listening closely. She made sure to keep her eyes averted, though they were currently clouded over with a white film as she watched thanks to an ability she had gained. This was the second time today that she had used this.
Zackary squinted at her but didn’t push it. “It’s two thirty-three. Could you at least try to go back to sleep?”
Juliet bristled a bit, getting defensive. "Oh, I can. I can also see when I'm being kicked out." She stood with an indignantly raised chin. She knew she was being unfair, but she also knew sleep wasn't coming for her, and for once, she had some company.
