Jun slowly nodded his massive head in response. The spines along his back had lowered, if only slightly. He seemed a bit more relaxed again, but barely. His large form remained somewhat tense, tail sweeping one way, then the other. His yellow eyes blinked, the pupils becoming a bit rounder.
The large beast remained sitting on his haunches, towering over both. His gaze shifted towards Cain. The man was uneasy, sweating. As Jun watched, a frown appeared on his muzzle.
~Such an unfortunate series of events…seems the young ones who are always left to suffer and pick up the pieces as the old fade into dust, to be forgotten~.
Small streams of smoke continued to rise from Jun's nostrils, rumbling softly ~Cain and I often traveled, though he wanted to get as far away as possible from his past…but even now it continues to torment him~.
The red dragon grimaced. He hadn't been in the area at the time. He had only come for he was curious, and when he arrived, he found a man in rags, laying in the midst of a burning village at an alter. Charred remains littered the ground, black smoke clouding the blue sky above.
Jun shook his head. Those thoughts would not help. His yellow eyes stared back downwards. He shifted his weight, causing the ground to seemingly shake ever so slightly.
