The massive dragon's eyes continued to glare between Jade and Dawn. His cold eyes scrutinizing their every movement, as if trying to read them.
~I see…there are some who wish to not see another in pain, as where other's have a sick sense of joy from another's suffering~.
Jun's gaze returned to looking at his rider. The red dragon had taken a few steps back, but still remained hovering nearby. He easily towered over the other dragon. The beast's growling had quieted down some, though his body remained tense, alert. Jun nearly snapped at the girl as he heard Cain suddenly groan from the pain.
As for Cain, there was some work to be done. His cloak being carefully removed followed by his shirt allowing for easier access. A jagged hole was between the shoulder, mangled. It would indeed take quite some time for the wound to heal. The older male remained in an uneasy sleep.
The dragon nearby shifted his weight. His head turned towards the entrance, forked tongue flicking from his jaws, testing the air. They were alone, other than the young girl and her dragon. Though still, Jun would remain on alert. His tail slowly swayed one way, then the other. The giant dragon's eyes shifted back to the pair.
~A pity the village was taken…I should've known they would've come…~.
Jun grimaced as he thought back. He knew the men who attacked, just like his rider. The dragon slowly closed his eyes. His nostrils flared, small streams of black smoke escaping. He remained like this for several moments, before once again opening his yellow eyes.
~What will you do now, if I may ask~ Jun suddenly asked ~It is doubtful you have a home to return to…and well, Cain doesn't usually much care for 'company' other than myself~.
The large beast seemingly sighed. He himself was more tolerable with others than Cain. Jun didn't mind company too much, but like Cain, he did prefer his solitude from time to time. However, Cain was more prone to secluding himself.
