Flynn entered Rylan's cell with the medical team behind her, "I want you to stay calm and do whatever they tell you to do, you better not screw this one up" Flynn said still playing leader, she eyed Santiago and Rylan, trying to tell them to just roll with her, she knew they where smart and will get the message

She leaned back against the wall and glared at the medical team, playing her part again. "What are you going to do?"

Santiago nodded at Flynn, then shifted his gaze to Rylan. “They are just going to take care of your leg. No need to be aggressive, compañera,” He said, freely using the term as he knew the team didn’t understand spanish.

She relaxed her gaze at Santiago's word, compañera, and let the medical team start to work on her leg.

Santiago gave her a smile and watched the men team, greatful knowing that they’d do a better job than him.
After about 45 minutes, the team packed up and moved out of the room, not wanting to be next to a notorious criminal. They had cleaned it and stitched it up. She nodded to them in thanks and turned towards Santiago.
"That wasn't so bad." She said, but her grimace told him otherwise.

“Maybe we can get some pain pills,” Santiago suggested thoughtfully.
"Yeah." She replied. "Thanks again. . " She trailed off, knowing that thanks didn't cover it. He had just helped her even though he was a Republic solider.
"So, I'm going to be executed?" Rylan asked.

“No problem,” Santiago replied. He exhaled sharply when she brought that up. “Okay, I don’t know much about that at all. Alex only said he would do that if you didn’t cooperate. I don’t really work in that department at the moment, I’m more of a tech person.”
She nodded slowly. "Once they get the information, they're going to use me as an example. Aren't they? They can't let me go."

Santiago’s gaze shifted downward and he hesitantly nodded slowly. “That’s what they said.. but I’m sure we can make a compromise! You still have some rights in this world.”
She frowned, her eyes sympathetic for Santiago's concern. "I'm afraid I don't have those rights anymore. They think I'm working with the Patriots and the Colonies. I'll just be an example for the rest of the people in this country."
As they talked, Alec walked into the room again. He looked down at Rylan's wrapped up leg and towards Santiago. He frowned as he saw them talking.
"I hope this is part of the interrogation, Santiago." Alec stated calmly, but in a cold voice as he looked between the two. "She is an enemy of the Republic."

Santiago’s head snapped up at the sound of Alec’s voice. “I was just informed to calm her so she didn’t fight with the medics, sir. She wouldn’t have lived to finish interrogation if it wasn’t treated,” he said, sitting up straight now.
Rylan looked up at Alec and flashed him a bright smile. He wrinkled his nose in disdain and turned towards Santiago again. "Tomorrow, we will continue interrogations. You'll be doing it. Be here at nine thirty sharp."
Alec straightened his posture and turned around, walking out of the room. As he neared the guards he leaned over and whispered something, then disappeared down the hall.
"See you at nine thirty, compañero." She winked at Santiago as he got up to walk out.
As she was left alone, except for the soldiers watching her every move inside and outside of the cell, she reached for the necklace in her pocket. The clasp was broken, but Rylan had refused to part for it and had spent days trying to find it again. It was silver and the pendant in the middle was etched with her dad's name. The night when her Dad had come back to the Tanagashi sector and told Rylan's family that he had found something big, he had given her the necklace. He had told Rylan to protect her little brother and never stop fighting for what she believed in.
She was only eleven.
The next day, he never came home.
Flynn, just stayed silent in the back of the room, she waited for Alec to leave, and all this she had a deadly serious look, she was deep in thought.
Once Alec left she shifted her position towards Santiago and Rylan "About the execution, I won`t let it happen, i don't think its fair to kill you. Besides, this will agitate the people and that's the last thing the gob. wants, so my opinion could be to make a case about this, it needs to be talked trough" Sarah said matter-of-factly

She turned towards Flynn, her eyes studying her. Polished buttons and shoes. Everything was neatly ironed and put on. But, Flynn's expression didn't seem too confident and sure of herself.
Rylan bit her lip as she thought about what Flynn said. "They want me as an example. Sure it may start some riots, but it may teach the public not to mess with the Republic. I'm afraid that not even you can stop the execution."
A guard stepped in.
"Flynn and Santiago Navarro. Commander Cardoso says that you will be leading the interrogation tomorrow morning at 09 30. He has sent information to both of your computers."
"But we can delay it" she said with a glint of mischief in her eyes and a smirk in her face, a new rush of confidence running trough her veins "Maybe the government isn't as great as I thought it was….Give me a reason to support you and go against the gob." She said, wanting to be completely sure who the bad guys are

She raised an eyebrow at Flynn. "Sweetheart, with your enthusiasm, I think that you already have a reason. You've heard the news. . . they're hiding something."
"Yeah you are right…Im just trying to convince myself that what Im about to do is the right thing so.."
Flynn said as she scrapped the back of her neck
