The group ran down the hall and turned a corner, the rock barely missing them. It crashed into the wall, trapping them. “Well…” Maya swallowed. “I hope there’s another way out.”
Rainy's heart raced, and she gave a shaky laugh. "Whew! We're all fine, right?"
“Yeah, But we’re not leaving the same way we came in.”
Her face fell. Tears started to sting the back of her eyes, but she blinked them back, sniffling. She had to be brave. She wanted to come here. Squaring her shoulders, she chirped, "I'm sure there's another way out. There's got to be."
"There always is." Pocky said, looking around, feeling the walls.
“Guess we haven’t got much more places to go than continue down…”

“This says there should be a lever somewhere… but this place is filled,with traps too, so e gotta pick,the right lever.”
"And how do we do that?" Pocky questioned.
"Maybe we should choose a random one?" Rainy suggested, her voice a little shaky.
“It’s supposed to look different. Like, it’s got fancier embellishments.”
Rainy shrugged, a half smile on her face. "Yeah, well, I can't help you with that."
“You can feel around, I think they’re all carved,” she said, starting to look.

Eli helped Rainy walk around, and he squinted in the dark. He wasn’t worried. There had to be another way out, there usually always was. And they could always call someone if not, or try to clear the entrance themselves.
Rainy felt the different levers carefully. They all felt the same! She started to grow frustrated, poking at each one harder and harder until…one lever gave. "Oh, no."
Pocky sucked in a breath, backing up. More shifting sounds.
“This doesn’t sound goo- dUCK!” Maya shouted as holes opened in the walls. Arrows flew past.
Pocky pulled Rainy and Eli down with her, as an arrow barely missed Eli's nose.

“What in God’s name?!” Eli exclaimed. He hadn’t expected the traps to be real, or that deadly. “Okay, we definetly do not need to be pulling anymore levers!”
"How else are we supposed to get out?!" Pocky questioned.

“God, I don’t know. This place obviously goes a lot farther and deeper. There’s probably something on the other side of this place,” Eli said, squinting in the dark. He got up, helping Rainy and Pocky up as well.
Pocky nodded her thanks, and looked around. One of the arrows particularly caught her eye. While the rest were made of wood, this one was made up of what looked like some form of metal. She pulled it out of the wall and examined it. The end wasn't sharp… It was oddly shaped. Like… A key! Pocky felt all over the walls for some sort of key hole, then went over to the levers. She looked at each one very carefully, and gaps when she found a key-hole and the base of the one on the far left. She bent down and shoved the key into it, turning it slowly. More creaking started, and a wall on the far end of the room lifted, opening a passage into a dark cave. "Whoa." she whispered.
Rainy tried to still her shaking hands. "Sorry guys…about the lever," she whispered. "I'm such an idiot." She took a deep breath.
Pocky turned to Rainy, grinning. "Don't be sorry, that Lever got us out!" she said excitedly.
Rainy bounced on her toes, her sorrow fading. "Really? Yay!" She smiled in relief. "Is there a passage or something?"
"Yes, One of the arrows was a key, and I found the key hole, and a wall opened."
“This is great! We should be getting closer.”

Maya headed down the stairs. "Three traps left. We should be able to get past the first two fine, but I don't know what the last one is."
