Nyx chuckled softly. "Plus…since this is my first time doing this…might be best to keep alcohol out of it." he replied with a faint smile. He kissed Jude's cheek softly.

"Yeah, maybe." Jude nodded slowly, biting his lip in excitement; anticipation towards that smile that he was aching to see for the hundredth time this day. "Now, go sit down, our food's getting cold." He smiled.

Jude nodded, and laughed a little. "I'm going, I'm going." he headed over to the table, and sat down, looking down at the spaghetti curiously.

Jude moved to his record player, taking the vinyl off as it was playing it's last song and putting it away. He settled for some Fleetwood Mac, a quieter, slower rock from the '70s. "Okay," He beamed, sitting down with him and running a hand through his hair. "I'm ready, are you ready?"

Nyx bit his lip, and shrugged his shoulders. "I…don't know." he admitted, looking at Jude with a nervous little smile. "I hope I am."

Jude picked up his fork and smiled back at Nyx, nodding at his plate of pasta, "Only one way to find out."

Nyx picked up his own fork slowly, and cautiously tried a small bite. His blue eyes flew wide open in wonder, and he stared down at the pasta.

Jude watched him with a silent grin, quietly twirling his fork into his spaghetti but more interested in how Nyx was reacting. "…First thoughts?"

Nyx blinked, and swallowed. He shrugged. "I…I don't…It's…" he stammered, laughing at himself and unsure what to say. "I…"

Jude softly laughed, taking a bite of his twirled spaghetti and smiling at Nyx, "…Nice?" He suggested, loving the curious glint in his eyes that came back every time he tried something new.

He laughed a little bit. "I…yeah. I guess so? I don't have anything to compare this too, I…" he shook his head a little.

"But it's…good?" Jude prompted, taking a sip of water, "Or…strange?"

He nodded. "Good." he replied with a smile, looking at Jude. "Really good." he shifted in his seat, and took another cautious bite.

"Good." Jude smiled back with a sense of accomplishment. He studied his own plate of pasta, twirling his fork shyly, "I've introduced you to another good thing…Hmm, I really like this feeling."

Nyx grinned. "Yes, well. I'm sure you'll introduce me to a lot of good things." He replied with a shrug, eating some more of the spaghetti.

“Mhm, I’m looking forward to it.” Jude smiled, looking through a window at the darkening evening coloured royal blue. “—And speaking of good things…” Jude smiled, raising his eyebrows at him, “I have chocolate ice cream in my freezer.”

Nyx blinked. "I…don't know what that is." He replied slowly. He ate more spaghetti, closing his eyes as he enjoyed the flavor of it

"Right– It's uh…sweeter," Jude smiled, watching Nyx's expression soften as their dinner went on, "It's for dessert, and it's cold and sweet, and soft. I think you'll like it."

Nyx blinked. "Your description doesn't make sense…" He said slowly. "But alright." He knew he shouldn't eat too much, as it would shock his system, but…he didn't want to stop.

“You’ll see after dinner,” Jude smiled, pushing back his hair and twisting up another forkful of spaghetti. He imagined what Nyx’s reaction to ice cream might look like, those bright blue eyes paired with a shocked smile.

Nyx closed his eyes, letting himself enjoy the food. He nodded. "Mm. Alright." He replied, finishing up his spaghetti and taking a deep breath.

Jude polished off the last of his meal and sighed, sitting back. "Do you feel like curlin' up and watching a movie tonight?" He asked, really just wanting to hold him under a mountain of blankets, "If not, we can find something else to do."

Nyx blinked his eyes open, then nodded. "Sure." He replied with another sunny smile. "That sounds fun."

"Okay," Jude smiled, slowly standing up to clear the plates and wondering what movie Nyx might like. Romeo + Juliet? La La Land? It's too early for Brokeback Mountain. The Notebook? "Do you wanna have ice cream before or while we watch it?"

He shrugged, getting up. "Whichever one you prefer?" he replied slowly. He didn't know. He really had no idea, since he'd only seen one movie in his entire life, and that was Titanic a few days before.

“Hm, well, I’ll clean up and get the ice cream out. Do you wanna flip through my stack of ‘em and choose something?” Jude smiled, nodding at the wide shelf next to his TV. “I think I’m the only person in the world who still has DVD’s.” He chuckled to himself, bringing their plates into the kitchen.

"Alright." He replied. He went over to look at the DVD's, peeking through them. He was very careful, not wanting to break them.

Jude loaded his dishwasher with dirty dishes and pulled out a pint of Ben & Jerry’s from his freezer. He put the ice cream and two spoons on the coffee table in from of the couch, spinning on his heels to the hall closet and pulling out the folded, soft white blanket from their first night together. “Anything sounding interesting?” Jude asked, letting the blanket roll out of his hands and onto the couch.

Nyx held out a few movies. "I uhm…these ones." He said with a faint little smile. He ran his hand through his hair, looking at Jude curiously.
