Glitches // OxO // Closed

Nyx sighed loudly, burying his face in the crook of Jude's neck. "Stop teasing me." he complained. "I'm allowed to want to try lots of things."

"'Course you are," Jude smiled, gently ruffling Nyx's hair, "And the thought of being there with you is something I'm looking forward to."

Nyx took a deep breath, letting it out. "Hmph." he grumbled, staying cuddled close to Jude. "I wanna see more of the zoo now." he added.

"Your wish is my command," Jude replied, placing a quick kiss on his cheek, "And…remind me to show you Aladdin sometime. I loved that movie as a kid."

Nyx blinked, and nodded. "Mhm. Alright." he stood up straight again, hand still linked with Jude's, smiling softly.

"So– there are…more lemurs, wow," Jude chuckled as he caught sight of the next few enclosures, swinging their linked hands as they walked.

Nyx rolled his eyes goodnaturedly, stopping to peek at every enclosure they passed. "Hmph. I like them, for your information."

"Oh yeah?" Jude smiled, trying to press down a smirk, "What's so special about them?"

He sighed. "Uhm. They're…" he sighed. "They're cute. And some of the first animals I've seen. So I like them."

"Mm, of course, cute." Jude nodded as they moved from each exhibit, "And you're gonna see lots of more animals, today. Like– ooh, a snake," He smiled, his eyes widening at the sight of the reptile.

Nyx wrinkled his hair. "What's a snake?" He said slowly, following Jude up to the habitat. He raised his eyebrows slightly. "It looks like a belt. But round."

Jude let out a soft laugh at that, smiling at Nyx before turning to the snake. "This is a snake– a Madagascar tree boa," He said with a little shrug, "But they do make snakeskin belts."

Nyx wrinkled his nose, narrowing his eyes at the snake. "Hm." he replied. "I still think it looks like a belt." he shrugged his shoulders, examining the snake.

Jude shrugged slightly and eyed the slow-moving snake, draping itself over the branches of a tree. "Yeah, I can see how you'd think that," He smiled, "Though I don't know if I'd like a squirming loop around me as an everyday accessory."

Nyx shrugged again. "Hm. Still." he replied slowly. He leaned against Nyx's shoulder, letting out a slow breath.

"Did you want a snakeskin belt?" Jude asked, wondering if his dad's tailor knew of any labels that produced them and looking up at the snake apologetically. "–Cause they're not hard to get, and we still need to go shopping for you."

He stuck out his tongue. "No. Gross." he replied, shaking his head. "I don't want a belt. They're annoying." he wrinkled his nose as he watched the snake.

"They're not that annoying," Jude smiled, rolling his eyes at Nyx's disgust and watching the boa unwind itself from a branch, "Why do you think they're annoying?"

He shrugged slightly. "They're unnecessary." He replied simply. "Most people don't actually need them all that much." He watched the snake.

"Yeah, I guess," Jude said, catching sight of the sign pointing to the next exhibit, "They're more of a stylish thing, I think."

Nyx shrugged again. "Yeah. And I don't like them." he replied with a shrug, running a hand through Jude's hair lazily.

"Okay," Jude smiled, sighing at Nyx's touch, "So what am I supposed to do with this– your hatred towards belts?"

Nyx smiled lightly. "Hmm…never make me wear one?" he replied, looking up at Jude with a happy, cute little smile. He kept running his fingers through Jude's hair.

"Mhm, done." Jude said with a lazy smile, mostly paying attention to his hands in his hair. He sighed, trying not to seem too happily distracted, "No belts for you, got it. Any other stylish objections?"

Nyx shrugged. "Hm. No shorts, either." he replied. "Not with my legs looking the way they do." he looked up at Jude, still stroking Jude's hair, loving the feel of the silky soft strands against his fingers.

"Mhh– we can fix that," Jude inhaled, letting his eyes flicker shut for a moment. Why do I like this so much? "I know a guy…or girl. I know…lots of people." He breathed, forgetting that they were in the middle of a zoo.

Nyx continued petting Jude's hair, twirling the strands around his fingers, leaning his head on Jude's shoulder. "Hm. Alright." he replied softly.

Jude cleared his throat and straightened his posture, trying not to get too caught up in that comfortable feeling. "You still hyped to see the animals?" He asked teasingly, letting out a long breath, "'Cause we got a whole day to run around."

Nyx straightened. "Right. Yeah. I wanna see them all." he replied, looking around, then up at Jude. He smiled.

"Then let's go see them," Jude smiled back, taking his hand and nodding towards the next exhibit; World of Birds.
