Nyx smiled, walking with Jude through the zoo to see the next exhibit. He laced his fingers with Jude's, kissing the other male's cheek.

Jude let out a soft laugh, looking at Nyx as they walked. “You’re really affectionate, you know that?” He smiled, letting out a happy sigh, “It’s nice.”

Nyx wrinkled his nose slightly. "Well…is there a reason I shouldn't be?" he asked slowly, suddenly feeling unsure of himself. Maybe he wasn't supposed to do things like that in public?

“Well…you already know about um, homophobia,” Jude shrugged, then realized what he’d said, “—I mean, not everyone is like that. It’s just that…other guys i’ve dated are kinda iffy about it in public. But I—“ He smiled, raising his eyebrows slightly, “—like it.”

Nyx blinked, then nodded slightly. "Oh. Okay." He replied. He gave Jude a quick little smile, and shrugged his shoulders.

Jude smiled back, then caught sight of the first enclosure. “Mhh— a Tucan!” He smiled, pointing at the long-beaked bird.

He squinted at the bird, and laughed a little. "It's beak is like the same size as its body." he commented with another soft laugh, going as close to the enclosure as he could.

"Hmph, yeah," Jude quietly chuckled, smiling at the bird's outrageous proportions as it pecked at a bowl of fruit.

Nyx made a face a little bit. "That would be like…having your lips and nose together, and like…fucking huge."

"Whoooa–" Jude said with a shameless giggle, squinting his eyes at Nyx, "Where'd you learn to swear?" Have I just not noticed?

Nyx blinked. "Uhm…" he shrugged slightly. "I don't know." he replied honestly, looking up at Jude.

Jude let out a faint laugh, looking back at the tucan. "Fucking huge," He smiled, echoing his words.

Nyx wrinkled his nose slightly. "What, did I say it wrong?" He asked, looking up at Jude curiously. "Or…?"

"No," Jude shook his head, smiling at him. "–It's just funny to hear you say. You look so sweet," He faintly laughed, "And it's just– cute."

Nyx grimaced, then smiled. "I'm not supposed to look cute. I'm supposed to look dangerous." He said grumpily, smiling the whole time.

"Oh yeah? Is that what you see in the mirror?" Jude teased, his own smile arising at Nyx's expression, "Because to me, the only thing dangerous about you are your eyes. They're just…" He shook his head, biting his lip, "Very blue."

Nyx stuck his tongue out childishly. "What's that supposed to mean?" He asked, pouting a little bit as he looked up at Jude.

"Nothing, really," Jude shrugged, smiling as he studied the bright hues of his irises, "Dangerously blue, mhm. Just…very…" He trailed off, brushing off his dreamy expression, "I'm saying you've got stupidly pretty eyes, you."

Nyx grimaced. "Yuck." He kissed Jude's cheek, leaning his head against Jude's shoulder and looking at the toucan.

"Mhm, you're welcome," Jude replied, winding an arm around his side and smiling at the bird in front of them, idly surveying its jungle-like surroundings.

Nyx watched the toucan, staying snuggled up with Jude. He loved this. Being out with Jude, in public? He loved it.

"Next bird?" Jude prompted, eyeing the enclosure not too far away, "We got a long way to go."

Nyx nodded. "Okay." he replied. He straightened, and pulled Jude to the next enclosure to look, looking at the bird with a smile on his face.

"The Great Blue Turaco," Jude read off the sign, glancing up at it. He smiled at the small tuft of black feathers on the top of its head. "Hey," He smiled playfully, "It's got hair like yours,"

Nyx let out a surprised laugh. "What? No it doesn't!" He protested, looking at Jude. "I'm not a bird, and it's not a cyborg!"

"But your hair is kind of–" Jude shrugged, smiling and using the bird as a reference as he spiked up Nyx's hair, "If we gelled it up this way, I think you two would be indistinguishable."

"What!" Nyx cried, looking up at Jude with almost comically wide eyes. "We would not!" He grimaced a little bit.

"I think you would," Jude teased, smiling mischievously, "Mhm– I think if you were a bird; this would be it."

Nyx stuck his tongue out at Jude. "Would not." he insisted, wrinkling his nose up at Jude and shaking his head. "Notta bird."

Jude let out a soft laugh, running a hand through his hair. "I know you're not a bird, c'mon." He smiled, "But it's funny how your hair is like–" Jude oddly gestured with his hands, "–Floof."
