(So far 0 minutes, we're still on the train.)
H.P. RP [{(CLOSED)}]
(Well let me fix that then.)
The train came to a halt.
(And we're there.)
Rowan looked out the window to see a huge castle. She opened her mouth in awe.
Alan stood up. "When we get off the train, the first timers head for the groundskeeper (Hagrid?). He'll take you across the lake."
Okay, Rowan wrote on her paper.
Eilidh was jolted awake by the train coming to a stop.
"Want to walk together?" Melissa signed hesitantly to Rowan, not sure if she was exactly right.
"Yes!" Rowan signed back and nodded her head excitedly.
Melissa smiled. She'd never had a real friend before! Not including Thomas, but he didn't count anymore. Let's go.
(Changing my format: Italics are signing, "and quotations are regular talking!"
"You first," Rowan signed back.
Helen stood up and gathered up Fira and the snacks she had bought. She made her way out th door and down on to the platform.
Melissa lead the way out of the compartment and down the hall. Outside, a massive swarm of black-clothed kids greeted the girls. Melissa felt utterly lost until-
"First years! First years over here!" A giant man with a large bushy beard - That must be the Hagrid that Alan was talking about - held a lantern high and waved.
"We go over there?" Rowan signed to Melissa. Everything was overwhelming for her and she wanted some certainty.
Helen walked over to the carriages that pulled themselves and climbed inside with some other girls who she didn't know. She stroked her tiny owl through the bars of her cage.
I guess, Melissa signed back because it was too loud to talk.
"Okay," Rowan signed and began heading towards the large man.
Oh No Eilidh thought as she ran out of the train. She couldn't believe that she fell asleep and no one woke her up.
Helen saw a girl running off the train and waved her hand to her. "We have room over here!"
Finn got into the carriage for the prefects. He had learnt last year that no-one else could see the horses pulling them. After that, he had studied and learnt that they were called Thestrals, and were only visible to those who had seen death. It brought back unpleasant memories whenever he saw them.
"Oh thank you." Eilidh ran to the last carriage and climbed up, "I'm sorry but I don't know your name?"
(HAPPY 200TH COMMENT!!)
(Did you count all of them??)
(No it says in the blue bubble in the discussion. You got 200th comment congrats.)
(That makes sense)
When Melissa and Rowan reached Hagrid, he instructed them to board the boats waiting in the water. Melissa and Rowan shared a boat with two other people - a girl with curly blonde hair and a boy with hair that was practically neon red.
"I'm so excited!" Rowan signed. She wasn't sure how much Melissa knew, but might as well see.
Melissa nodded in reply and signed back, Me too. Her mother and father had given her details of before and after the Sorting Ceremony, but she had no idea how the Sorting would happen.
"What house do you think I'll get into?" Rowan asked Melissa.
I'm not sure, Melissa replied. After thinking, she added, I'd like Slytherin or Ravenclaw.
"What do the different houses mean?" Rowan signed, "Are they like clubs?"
