She narrowed her eyes and tilted her head. “Are you really?!” She asked with a soft gasp. “I’m nearly 20.”
Asher smiled a little, and nodded. "I am." he replied with a shrug. He frowned. "Did you really not know my age?"

Arabella laughed gently and blushed. "I knew you were around twenty. I didn't know the exact age." She admitted with a shy smile.
Asher chuckled. "Ah, I see." he replied, shaking his head a little bit. "Strange."

Arabella stuck her tongue out at him, a childish habit of hers she had kept from childhood. “You’re strange.” She defended playfully.
Asher smirked a little, and reached out and tickled her again. "Who, me? Never." He replied, laughing.

Arabella gasped and shimmied away from him as best she could. She glared at him - in the most playful and unserious way she could - and then suddenly grinned. “Strange Asher.”
Asher laughed, and stopped. "Mm. Thanks." he replied, a touch sarcastically.

Arabella giggled softly and tilted her head as she watched him thoughtfully. Her eyes turned to Delila for a moment then back to Asher. “May we head home? I want to make some cookies or something for Delila.”
Asher smiled, and nodded. "Yeah, sure. If she'll let us go." he replied.
Delila smiled. "Of course you may." he replied.

Arabella laughed softly and smiled at Delila. "Thank you, it was wonderful meeting you! "She hummed happily.
Delila smiled. "You're welcome. Feel free to come back and visit anytime." she replied, getting up to show them to the door.

“We will!” She said with a happy smile, gently tugging on Asher. She had carefully moved Jake off her lap and gave the dog one last pet before she continued towards the door.
Asher stood up. Jake barked at her, and trotted after them.

Arabella gigged as Jake barked, watching him in amusement. “What a nice little dog.”
Asher shrugged. "No, he's devil spawn, but alright." he replied with a laugh.
Delila smiled. "Mm. What Asher said."

“I like him. He’s cute.” She declared, smiling happily. “The only dogs we had were guard dogs and I couldn’t touch them. Mean big old dogs.” She pouted softly before her smile returned and she tuned to Delila. “Thank you again!”
Asher chuckled softly. "Mm. Like I said, we'll get a dog if you want one." he replied, putting his shoes back on.

Arabella puffed up her cheeks as she too returned her shoes to her feet. “I’ll think about it more. I need to know what breed to get and how to take care of it.” She replied softly.
Asher nodded. "Alright. Well, you can do research about that, I guess." he replied, opening the door.
"Or you could get a mutt from the local shelter." Delila suggested.

Arabella perked up. “I can do that?” She asked softly. “We should go to the shelter then!” She giggled softly.
Asher smiled. "Yeah, you can." he replied, and kissed her cheek. "Let's go. Bye, Delila." he said with a smile at the older woman.
Delila waved, holding the door.

Arabella waved the woman goodbye too. “Bye! Thank you!” SHe hummed, following after Asher with a slight skip.
Asher smiled, and opened the door to the car for her.

Asher began to drive, leaving Delila's driveway and then, a few minutes later, pulling into theirs.

Arabella stared out the window for most of the ride, kicking her legs happily. She gently tilted her head as they pulled into the driveway, looking up at the house.
