"So aren't you going to entertain me with your tales of woe?" he asked, glancing at him. "Thought you'd have something to say."

Darren was no good at storytelling unless they weren't true… "What do you want to hear?"

"Stuff," he said, leaning back from the table. "What's it like being a runaway?"

Darren laughed, "Hell mostly. I'm kidding it's not that bad. I'm a conman so people usually do what I say due to my skills,"

"Conman, huh?" he said, raising an eyebrow. He scooted next to Darren, smiling mischievously. "How do I know you're not conning me right now?"

Darren put his face close to his before whispering, "I guess you'll have to find out," He smiled and sat back in his previous position.

He tugged at the collar of Darren's shirt and put his lips real close to his ear, whispering, "Guess we will." He pulled back with a grin and a glint in his eyes and returned to his homework. "Want to watch something? It's probably just 'Government approved' news, but it'd be something."

Darren cheered, "Ooo Gov monitored TV! My favorite," He smiled sarcastically.

"Oh shut up, I bet you haven't watched television in years," he said, rolling his eyes, but he was smiling about it. "Grab the remote. Actually, don't do that. They probably have some thumb print tracker on there." He stood up and walked over to take the remote.

Darren laughed. “Fine then,” he was right, Darren couldn’t remember the last time he watched TV.

Alistair flipped through the few channels that were provided and eventually settled on an animated cartoon, thinking it be lighthearted enough to lift the mood and went to sit back down to finish his homework.

“Ah very nice.” Darren laughed. He was childish so this fit well enough.

He looked up and watched Darren for awhile, before commenting, "You really haven't watch television in a long time if you're getting excited about cartoons."

“I would have been excited about anything you put on. I haven’t watch TV in forever!” His eyes were glued to the screen.

"That's fair, that's fair," he said. "Are you excited enough to do my homework?"

“Actually yes. I have the IQ of a genius.” Darren smiled.

He snorted. "I highly doubt that," he said, sliding it over. "But here, go ahead."

“Wow harsh fine.” He took his homework and began his work.

He grinned, jest in his voice. "Kidding. Kind of. Maybe."

Darren shook his head with a smile as he worked through the homework. He had it done minutes after he started. He was smarter than he let on.

Meanwhile, Alistair leaned over his shoulder, watching him work to make sure he was doing it right.

Darren finished up the final few and handed it back to him. "You can check it if you want,"

"Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, and… the last couple are right, I'm so proud of you," he said, the last bit obviously sarcastic. "But it's not as much work as before."

Darren shrugged carelessly. "Your welcome,"

"I'm gonna go set up another place for you to sleep," he said, standing up. "You can sleep in my room if you want."

"Uhh, yeah. I'll sleep where ever you want me to,"

"So theoretically, you'd sleep in bed with me?" he teased.
