"Sounds good." He chuckles and ruffles Laerie's hair affectionately before walking towards the counter.

Laerie laughed and followed him. “What was that?”

"What was what?" He teases. He taps his leg as he thinks about what he wants.

Laerie rolled his eyes and ordered what he wanted. “The hair ruffling!”

He chuckles and orders what he wants as well, "What's wrong with ruffling your hair?"

Laerie rolled his eyes. “There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s just not something friends do, I guess.”

"What do you mean? I do it all the time." He raises a brow, a wide smirk on his lips. "Don't like it?" He asks curiously.

Laerie shook his head. “No, no. I think it’s cute.”

"Cute? I am the polar opposite of cute." He laughs gently.

Laerie shook his head. “Not in my eyes. You’re the cutest little thing!”

"Excuse me? Last i checked I was six inches taller than you!" He replies woth a snort.

Laerie giggled. “Still! You’re the cutest thing ever!”

He glances at the other. "Whatever you say, my dude." In his opinion, the cute one was Laerie.

Laerie led him to a booth and plopped down. “It is whatever I say.”

He laughs softly at that. "You got me there." He ruffles Laerie's hair affectionately.

Laerie chuckled and rolled his eyes. “Anywho, what’s up?”

Michael smiles softly. "Nothing much. How about you?"

Laerie grinned his toothy, handsome grin. “Well you already know! I’ll miss you when I’m all the way up there.”

Michael nods and sighs. "I'll miss you too, Laerie." As if I'd let you out of my sights…

Laerie giggled. “I’ll definitely come to visit. But it won’t be very often.”

He nods. "Or something like that." He shrugs and smiles.

Laerie shrugged too, but he was still smiling that happy smile. “I’m so freaking excited!”

He nods happily. "I'm excited for you." Michael offers a small smile.

Laerie beamed. “Thank you! So, what are you majoring in? What’s your minor?”

"Majoring in law and minoring in languages." He smiles. "I want to become an ambassador."

Laerie clapped for him. “That sounds like a ton of fun! Good luck with that!”

He smiles at that. "Thanks Laerie. That means a lot to me." He says quietly.

Laerie set his hands on the table, smiling. “You’re welcome. It’s what friends do.”

Friends… Is that all you see in me…? He wonders as he looks around.
