The waitress brought over their order and set the food down. Laerie thanked her and handed her a tip. She smiled graciously and pocketed the money, wishing them a good day.
He watches her go before looking back at the other. "So. You getting all packed?"
Laerie nodded, smiling as he sipped his drink. “Yep! Almost done, too.”
Michael nods and smiles thinly. "Sounds great."
Laerie grinned and nodded. “It is. I can’t wait!”
I'm not going to let you get out of my sight that easily… He eats his food slowly.
Laerie happily picked up his muffin and bit into it, scarfing it down quickly in his hungry haste.
Michael ate slowly, sighing softly. He wasn't as hungry as he thought he would be.
Laerie finished with his muffin quickly, smiling. “That was fun.”
Michael places his half eaten food down and smiles a little. "Yeah. Since you're moving, do you wanna hang out more often?" He asks curiously.
Laerie smiled, nodding. “That’d be a ton of fun! One last goodbye.”
He looks down. "Yeah… One last goodbye…" He trails off. He needed to keep the other in his life. He didn't know what he was going to do.
Laerie smiled and crossed his hands. “Where should we go?”
"Anywhere you want to go." He says softly. He smiles at the other.
Laerie smiled back. “The mall? There’s a new place that just opened.”
"Sure." He says quietly. Michael offers a soft smile.
Laerie beamed. “We can go after school!”
Michael nods. "Sounds wonderful." He replies happily.
Laerie went to his second muffin and guzzled it. “Mmm…”
Michael's mind came up with brilliant ideas. Mostly killing off anyone who touched or ever talked to his sweet friend.
Laerie was unaware of these plans. He just happily ate his muffins and drank his drink.
Michael hums softly and continues to eat after a moment, gazing at Laerie and how happy he seemed to be.
Laerie finished and wiped his mouth off on his sleeve.
“When you’re ready, we can go back to the school.”
Michael finished his food as well, nodding slowly as he stretches. "Sounds great."
Laerie grinned and stood. “Let’s go, then!” He stretched out.
Michael nods and smiles. "Sounds great!"
Laerie turned to him. “Okay! Lead the way~”
He smiles and stands, throwing away his trash and sipping on his drink as he holds the door open for Laerie.
Laerie thanked him and tossed his trash too, hurrying out the door. He paused for Micheal, raising his head to look at the sky. The sun shimmered in his thick black hair.
Michael looked at Laerie and his breath was whisked away. It looked as if the other was being bathed in a holy light, his black hair shimmering in the sun, his beauty amplified in ways he could not describe. He loved it.
