Samantha pushed open the grate, and crawled out. "Quick, into that closet!" she said, pulling them inside a dark and dusty broom closet.
"I can walk you know." He whispered as they went into the closet.
"I know. But we need to get disguises. Next time anyone goes by we ambush them."
"I'll do it, you stay in the closet."
"Fine."
"Wow, miss Sass actually agreed with me on something for once."
"It's only because you're more expendable. Statistics." she said coldly.
"And the Ice Queen." He looked out the closet through a peep hole.
"Ice queen? That's a new insult."
"Depends on how you look at it."
"Well I guess I took it the wrong way." she snapped. "Mr. "Oh I can do everything, you're just a silly little girl!""
"Oh look at me! I'm a smart girl, as smart as Einstein, while you're just a silly boy!" He snapped, still looking through the peep hole.
"I am smart. Smarter than Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, even more than Immanuel Kant! People don't ever recognize my genius, it's infuriating."
"Oh really?"
"Yes, really. Has anyone come by? At this point, they should have."
"Then shut up." He saw a man coming, and he waited for the man to pass the closet they were in. After he passed the closet, he quickly got out and covered the man's mouth as he sliced his throat.
"You didn't have to commit a murder, you know. I may need to report you."
"Just shut up, he would've killed us instead." He said as he put away his knife.
"You could have knocked him out! He probably has a family, or at least someone who cares, and now you've.. you've taken that away.."
"He knew he had a high chance of dying, that's his fault. Since when did Mrs. Ice Queen have a heart that cares about people?"
"Since when did you become a killer? You rarely try to hurt people, much less kill them! It's wrong!"
"I'm a police officer, and used to be a detective, Samantha."
"Not on my level. I don't work for the police, they consult me. And no, you weren't a detective." she said, sighing. "Even I have limits."

"Close enough, and I literally need to hunt people, most of the time I'm the one that has to kill them also."
"You used to be a police officer. And just saying, most police don't kill."
"I know."
"Okay, listen. Don't… don't kill people. You don't know how it will affect others. He had a daughter, see how he's wearing his badge? Smudged, signs of pink crayon wiped off. Probably around six years old." she said. "As ever you see but do not observe."
"Okay, fine. I won't kill people anymore." He said apologetically.
"Just…" she waved a hand. "Forget it. It…" she was at a loss for words.
"Hey, i'm sorry. Are you ok?" He asked as he walked closer to her.
