John laughed. ”Yes we have, but only because I am your doctor.” He smiled. “Now let’s get you into that ambulance so you don’t die.” As he said this, they took him away on the stretcher, John hopping in the ambulance beside Sherlock.

A day later, Sherlock woke up in a hospital bed with an IV in his arm…. and John's hand in his. The first thing he thought of this was Wut?

John blinked awake, slowly looking up to check on Sherlock. “Your awake.” He watched as Sherlock continued to look at something. Following his gaze, John saw his hand in Sherlock’s. “Oh, sorry. I, um, I just-“ He blushed as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"John?" Sherlock asked. "Am I dead?"

John’s eyes went wide, scared. “No. You are very much alive.” He sighed, content, as if he was just now able to relax.

"I think I'm dead. Seriously, did I die?"

“No. You had your doctor, remember?” He gently joked.

"Okay, seriously. You don't need to… to joke around so much! It's infuriating and I love it. Just stop. No, don't stop." Sherlock groaned, he was acting like an idiot.

"I'm sorry. I'm a total idiot."

John stared up blankly at Sherlock. “So… Stop or..?”

"Keep talking to me. I like to hear the sound of your voice." Sherlock said.

“Okay… well, the weather I’d great today, isn’t it.” John said looking around, laughing. “ I wouldn’t know either. I’ve been here since you’ve been admitted.” John chuckled.

"Wait, what?! Why would you stay?" Sherlock asked.

"You didn't have to…. I was going to be alright."

John’s cheeks flushed red and he looked away. “The weather is great.”
