"Here, you do it like this." Sherlock said, fixing the crane. "I can show you how to do it again." he said, taking yet another piece of paper and demonstrating how to fold it.
John blinked reapeatedly before attempting his crane again. At the seventh fold he kept on trying different things, not remembering what to do next.
"Let me show you again then." Sherlock said, this time guiding John's hands.
“Thank you.” John mumbled, blushing, a bit embarrassed. Grabbing another paper, he tried it once again by himself and completed a slightly lopsided crane. “I finished!” He said sounding surprised.
"Good job John." Sherlock said, giving a small but genuine smile.
“Thanks.” John gave an unsure smile through tight lips.
"Oh. It's morning. I guess time does fly when you're not paying attention." he said, watching the sunlight pour in through the windows.
“Morning tea?” John offered.
"Sure." Sherlock replied.
John got up from where he as sitting and put some water on the kettle while preparing the tea.
Sherlock nervously folded about twenty cranes. Why was he nervous? No idea. He needed a case. Call Lestrade? No, he didn't want to risk getting murdered. Mycroft? As if, Sherlock calling his brother for help would happen when pigs fly.
Bringing the tea over to Sherlock, John poured them both a cup, putting two cubes of sugar in Sherlock’s cup while leaving his black. He could see that Sherlock was doing his nervous tapping again as he handed him the cup. Pulling up his blog on his phone, he handed it over to Sherlock. “You have tones of invoices.”
"No, boring. I need a real case. Should I attempt The Last Resort?" Sherlock asked, hoping that he wouldn't need to ask Mycroft for help.
“If it will get you busy, then yes. Absolutely.” John nodded.
"Hmm… I'll call Lestrade again and if all else fails Mycroft."
“Okay. Please get dressed though if anyone comes over.” He said.

“Oh, yes, right.” He said, walking over to the bedroom. “I’ll be back.”
"Right." Sherlock said, picking up John's lopsided crane and putting it on the mantle.
John put on a new shirt and walked back over. “Are you going to call Lestrade?”
"Later. I don't feel like it right now."
“Five minutes ago that was all you wanted to do.”
"I'm allowed to change my mind, am I not?"
“Of course.” John blinked. “So, what is it you want to do now?”
