"Don't you shake your head at me." Tara sassed, trying not to smile as she caught Darren laughing.

Darren looked up at her with a smile, "Sorry,"

Tara sighed as she finished her shift before lunch. She sat down beside the jellyfish tank to catch her breath, as she had done a lot of running to and fro for her boss that morning.

Darren met up with her, "Hey, are we still on for lunch?"

Tara nodded, standing up. "Yeah, yeah. I'm ready."

"Great!" Darren smiled, "Where is this place we are going?"

"It's called 'Diana's Diner' and it's right down the road." Tara replied, pointing to the diner as she walked out of the reserve.

"Hmm, I somehow never noticed that was there," He laughed.

Tara smiled. "Well…..it is kind of hidden." She replied. " but the good there is pretty good… " If you actually eat it….

"Alright! Let us go," he laughed.

Tara nodded, leading him to the diner and slipping into a booth.

Darren sat down across from her with a smile.

Tara smiled back and picked up the menu. A waitress walked over to them. "Hey Tara how's going? You going to actually eat something today?" She asked hopefully, looking slightly worried.
"We'll…..just have to see Ariel." Tara replied. "Darren, know what you're going to get?" She asked after ordering a burger and a water.

“Uhh the same. Burger and water,” he smiled.

Abby gave up. The papers were ruined. She should've just gone to her office instead of following Tara. Tara! She was in her break and has probably left. Most likely with Darren. Abby sighed. She hoped that Tara would tell him.

River cleaned stuff.

After Ariel left to get their orders, Tara took a deep breath. "Okay….where do I even start?" She asked aloud.

Darren dropped his smile, hiding his concern behind a sweet face.

"Okay….um…so…" Tara struggled to find the right words to say. "When……a short time before my mom got cancer, I was diagnosed with an eating disorder." She finally spit out.

"Okay," Darren nodded..

"My doctor says that it's a genetic thing that has been passed down to me from my grandmother. Depression seemed to just follow my disorder and people started blaming and hating me for the way I was acting and how it 'affected' them. I could barely even drag myself out of bed in the morning and next thing you know my math teacher is telling at me for forgetting something." She continued.

Darren nodded again, "Forgetting?"

"Forgetting to turn in a paper, forgetting to close the door, anything that I could forget. My mom got mad at people who got mad at me and then it just became this big hot mess. Then of course there was Dominic…."
