Tara tapped her fingers on the table, feeling slightly uncomfortable about telling Darren all of this. "Dominic was…..my boyfriend, for most of my teenage years. When he found out about my problems he just….left. Literally moved to a different state. But of course, not doing some things that made Abby punch him in the face a couple times." Tara answered.

Darren chuckled a little, he respected Abby. "So why would I hate you?"

"Well, everyone else did." Tara said. "Nobody ever stays." She clenched her jaw, thinking about her dad.

Darren reached across the table to her hand that was tapping nervously on the table. He held her hand and looked her in the eye with complete seriousness, "I'm not going anywhere,"

(sees username
suddenly gets joke
dies laughing)

Tara looked up at Darren. "You promise?" She asked weakly.

(Haahhhaaa)

Darren nodded, "I promise. I won't leave,"

Tara let out a small breath. "Okay." Ariel came back at that moment with their food.
"Thanks Ariel."
"Don't mention it Tara. Now eat." She said as she walked away.

Darren dug into his food immediately, practically inhaling it.

Tara laughed at how fast Darren was eating.

Darren's food was gone in a few minutes of it being placed in front of him.

Tara looked down at her plate of untouched food, then back at Darren's empty plate. "Wow. Just wow."

"Sorry," He laughed, "I live off of HotPockets,"

Tara shook her head. "To each his own."

"I feel judged," Darren joked, "Are you judging me?"

Tara snickered. "Of course not…" She said, smiling at him innocently.

Darren smiled at her before his face changed, like a light bulb had been flicked to life, "Hey! I forgot to ask you about something,"

Tara nodded. "Yes?"

"My brother is coming to visit from San Francisco. Would you be interested in meeting him?"

"Sure, why not?" Tara answered.

"Cool," Darren smiled half-heartedly.

Tara nodded. "M'kay….now….to eat this….." She said, looking down at her food.

Darren looked at her food and back to her, he didn't know how to help here.

Tara finally managed to eat some of her food.
