"Give me one good reason why I'm not stupid," she declared, swimming so close to his face that her nose brushed his thin bubble.

“You can hold a conversation. It doesn’t sound like much but I know what dumb sounds like and it’s not you,”

"Want to go to the palace?" she asked, the sparkle returning to her eyes.

“Sure. We just have to make sure not to get caught,”

Moxiey swam quickly to the palace. She made her way through the halls to a dark room. She pulled him in and turned on the light. "Welcome to my room!" she chirped happily.

“No it’s fine. I’m in a castle underwater. Who am I to complain?”

“No it’s okay,” he looked around with a child like wonder.

She grinned. "Okay, awesome!" She swam around, rearranging things quickly and picking up things that fell.

“So. You’re a mermaid princess… the daughter of the king of the sea? Who’s not supposed to be in contact with humans but yet brought a stranger down here?” He ran his fingers over the walls curiously.

Her hair swirled around her face. "Yep…"

“What are these walls made of!”

She giggled. "Pressed coral."

“Woah really. You’re probably the reason coral reefs are dying,” he joked.

She deadpanned. "What?"

He chuckled. “Humans are under the impression that coral reefs are dying because of pollution,”

She looked heartbroken. "Dying?"
