Mermaid romance (one-on-one//closed)

Arria let out an over dramatic sigh, "I guess I can give you one of my potions. Just hurry up." He splashed Carter with the water and giggled. He was so happy this was happening and wanted to smile forever.

Carter splashed Arria back teasingly before swimming back to shore. He quickly drove back to his house, excited as a child in a candy store. I love him. I love him so much… Carter pulled into his driveway, and finally got a look at last night’s party’s disaster. Plastic cups littered his lawn, some of the bushes near his house looked as though someone crashed into them, it looked really bad. He sighed, entering his house which looked slightly worse, with suspicious stains on the carpet. He shook his head, entering his room and started packing what he needed. He made quick work of it, only taking what he needed. Then he grabbed his credit card and made a quick stop before leaving for the beach. I hope Arria likes the surprise… A twinge of nervousness struck his core, and seemed to settle there. He tried to ignore it as he returned to the beach.

While Carter was gone, Areia quickly swam back and grabbed a small bag of his own, as well as a potion to make Carter’s stuff water proof. He grabbed a couple others too, just in case but he could always come back for them. Once that was done, he swam back to the rock pool and waited, a massive grin on his face. He could feel the excitement growing with every passingb moment.

Carter rounded the corner of the rock pool, flashing a grin, “Hey, my love.” He held his bag over his head as to avoid it getting wet, but the surprise was in his pocket. Butterflies appeared in his stomach, but he tried not to let it show as he approached, “I’m ready.”

Arria’s smile grew, “Here, pour this onto the bag.” He handed Carter a small vile of golden liquid and bit his lip while he waited.

Carter raised an eyebrow, but did as he was told. He uncorked the bottle and dunked it onto his things. “What does it do?”

“Water proof stupid.” Arria rolled his eyes and giggled, swimming close to Carter with his own bag over his shoulder.

Carter smiled, rolling his eyes and letting his bag drop into the water. He was satisfied that it didn’t seem to get wet. Carter gave Arria an amused look, “Look at you, Mr. Handsome Innovator.”

Arria rolled his eyes again and blushed a little, “Mhm yeah, let’s going.” He grabbed Carter’s hand in his and swam out of the rock pool, grinning, “Hurry up!”

Carter smiled at Arria, “And what about my merman potion? I’m going to need that to get in the underwater cave, right?” I hope Arria is going to like it… I hope… That nervousness didn’t seem to leave him, but he tried his best to ignore it. Just have to wait until we get there…

"Oh, right yeah." Arria hastily dug through his bag and took out the potion handing it to Carter quickly. He bit his lip to stop himself from smiling too much but failed miserably since he was so excited.

Carter smiled, gulping down the potion greedily. Just as the gluing pain started, he jerked his shorts off just before they tore. He legs welded into a shimmering tail. He laughed a little, smiling at Arria as he held his swim shorts. He fingered the ‘gift’ out of the pocket, holding it in his palm so Arria wouldn’t see. “I’m ready to go.”

Arria grinned, “Great! Come on then.” He dove under the water with a laugh as he led them both to the cave. It really was one of the nicest places he’d ever seen and hoped Carter would like it too.

Carter splashed after him with a smile, tugging his stuff along and making sure not to drop the surprise. He ducked into the cave and resurfaced again, then gasped. The beautiful crystals were everywhere, and gosh were they beautiful. “Arria… It’s perfect…” He couldn’t take his eyes off the surrounding, completely awestruck.

Arria smiled and pulled himself up onto the rock, “You think so?” Leaning over, Arria did his best to part the vines cover what would have been a rock but reveal more of an underground forest. More crystals lines the walls and small trees and flowers sprouted from the ground.

Carter hoisted himself onto the rock, gasping a second time, “It’s so beautiful Arria… I love it…” He dragged his eyes away from the beautiful forest, looked at Arria with eyes full of love and adoration, “Gosh, Arria, I love you.”

Arria blushed a little and smiled at Carter, “I love you, too.” He looked around the place once before letting out a content sigh, “I haven’t been here for ages, I forgot how beautiful it is.”

“I can’t believe we’ll be living here together.” Carter glanced down at his closed palm, chewing his lip for a second. Nervousness and butterflies attacked him on the inside with every breath, but he looked Arria in the eyes, “Arria, can I ask you something?”

Arria nodded and bit his lip, “Yeah, of course you can. What is it?”

Carter took a deep breath. If we are moving in together, I can have enough courage to ask him. “I- I really love you. I love you more than the world. I love you more than the stars. I love you.” Carter took Arria’s hand in his, then slowly opened his palm to reveal the ‘surprise’… a ring. “Will you marry me?” Gosh, I’m too sudden, this was a stupid idea, why did I even do this, this is a mistake-

Adrian grinned and pulled Carter into a huge into a huge hug, “Yes! A thounds times yes Carter!” He felt tears of happiness form in the corners of his eyes as he pulled back slightly to looked at Carter’s face, “I’d be honoured.”

Carter started crying small tears of joy, “Arria!” He basically tackled Arria in the hug, slipping the finger on his hand fr him. Carter kissed his merman, tangled his hands in Arria’s hair. He said yes, he said yes, he said yes!

Arria smiled into the kiss, wrapping his rms around Carter’s neck. He pulled away and wiped away Carter’s tears, “I really didn’t expect that question.”

“I wanted to get the ring before I left land… And, I just really love you,” Carter explained happily, running a hand through Arria’s hair and laughing a little at he said, “I’m impatient too.”

Arria giggled, “Clearly you are. I really love you too.” He let out a content sigh and rested his head in Carter’s neck, smiling widely.

Carter still could hardly believe it. He said yes… “Does the ring fit okay? I was kinda rushing through the store and hoped you had a similar sized hand as I do…” Carter hummed happily, looking at Arria’s beautiful face as he wrapped his arms around the merman.

Arria rolled his eyes a little and smiled, "Yes, the ring fits fine. Stop worrying, Carter." He looked down at the ring and smiled, "It's beautiful, I love it, I love you."

Carter laughed a little. “You know me too well,” He leaned in, a breath away and their noses touching, “And I love you too.” He softly kissed Arria, gentle as a spring rain.

Arria kissed him back with equal gentleness, running his hands through Carter’s hair gentle at the same time. He smiled into the kiss and pushed himself slightly closer to the other.

Carter opened his mouth slightly, moaning into the kiss, as he stroked his hands up and down Arria’s sculpted back. He dragged his lip down Arria’s neck and jawline, nuzzling into Arria and curling his tail around his merman.
