(Hi, I am. Basically, Aaron taught Cooper to fish, there was a time skip and Now Aaron is talking to Gracie.)

(Totally didn't get in trouble during the weekend…I'm back!)

Jess walks back, her arms full of berries and wood. "Thought you might need these…"

Aaron starts, but nods at the other, "Thanks. I can probably make breakfast in a minute."

Jess nods and smiles slightly .

Aaron takes the berries and wood from her and heading inside, setting the wood down by the door and the berries in a small clay bowl.

Jess follows him. "Aaron?"

"Hmm?" he hums in acknowledgement as he washes the berries.

"What…happened, that Coopers with you…?" She asks, gentle, but confused.

"Found him in the woods, I took him in." he says, "That was when he was around… four? I believe."

Jess nods. "So…you two stay together…?"

"He's basically a kit I adopted and took care of. He's like my own." Aaron says, looking at the berries.

Jess nods, looking down. "I know how that feels…"

"Aaron!" Cooper trotted into the den. "Can I help make breakfast?"
(Yeah and Aaron taking him in sorta explains why Cooper doesn't call him 'dad' or some variant of that)

Aaron chuckles, nodding as he gently ruffles Cooper's hair, "Yes, you may help." (Finished my first final!! YAY!)

"Yay! What can I do?"

"Wanna help me grind the berries into a juice?" He asks, handing the smaller the bowl filled with the berries. "I'll scale the fishes."

"Okay!" Cooper sat down on a stool and took the mortar and pestle, crushing the berries.

Aaron chuckles softly and sets to work, humming softly as he does. "Between the here, between the now. Between the North, between the South. Between the West, between the East.
