Aaron notices the yawn and chuckles softly. "Tired, tesoro?" He asks, humming thoughtfully as he gently rubs the top of Coopers head.
NEKOS COME COME!!!! (OPEN WE NEED MORE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
"Yeah… today was… eventful, to say the least."
Aaron nods, running a gentle hand through his kits hair, smiling a bit. "We'll have dinner then go to bed, okay?" He says, smiling a little.
"Alright." Cooper took a fish and ate it absently, seemingly lost in thought, zoned out, or otherwise.
Aaron takes notice, eating his fish as well, "What's wrong, Cooper?" He asks gently.
"Mmm…?" He glanced up at Aaron, the focus coming back into his eyes. "Nothing, just… zoned out."
Aaron glances at him before nodding and returning to his fish, smiling a little bit.
Cooper started to nod off, having finished the fish.
Aaron chuckles softly and picks the kit up after putting the fire out, humming softly as he walks back into the hut, laying down while keeping Cooper close to him and placing a small fatherly kiss to the top of his head, "Sleep well, tesoro." he whispers.
(Time skip to next day? Or…?)
(Sure, I guess shrugs)
Cooper woke up in the makeshift bed and yawned, blinking in the sunlight that shone through their 'window'. (the window's really more of just a hole they can cover up when it's raining tbh)
Aaron was snoozing softly, holding Cooper in a protective grip, his breathing soft and slow.
Cooper lay back against Aaron. We don't need to be anywhere, and it's still early… But then he suddenly sat up. Or I can make breakfast! Aaron would be proud of me! He got up quietly and changed into a cat, trotting off to the river.
Aaron hums in his sleep, turning a bit. His eyes shoot open when he didn't feel Cooper at his side. He freaks out, standing. Oh god… where did the little squirt go?!
Gracie was a wake all night star gazing. She got up yawning looking at the 'den.'
After about an hour, two falls into the river, and several tries, Cooper started making his way back to camp. He was soaking wet and shivering, but he had caught several fish.
Gracie saw a cat (Cooper) and went over to squat beside it.
Aaron bolts out if the den, seeing his little kit. He tackles the smaller, releasing a faint sob, "Oh thank god." he whispers, hugging Cooper tightly, "You scared me half to death." He cries, clutching onto the smaller.
"What? W-What happened? No one's hurt, right?" Cooper dropped the fish, changing back into a human.
"You didn't tell me where you were going! You were gone for so long I thought something happened to you!" he cries, hugging his kit tightly.
"I-I'm sorry, I just wanted to make breakfast because I can catch fish now…"
"It's okay, you just scared me." he whispers, nuzzling his kit gently. "Just tell me where you're going from now on." he whispers.
"Okay…" Cooper picked up the fish and held them up to Aaron.
Aaron beams at him, "Well done, Cooper. That's a lot of fish." he ruffles the others hair gently.
Gracie was near what used to be the cat, Cooper? "So you can be a cat and a regular neko?"
Cooper smiled softly, glad that Aaron approved. He turned towards Gracie. "Hmm? Oh, yeah. You can't?"
"I never tried."
"You should try it, it's helpful sometimes."
Aaron nods, "Both Cooper and I can turn into cats at will. I can teach you, if needed."
