Night Time Lovers

Pierce laughed, "Well be sure to let me know when you want to." He paused, "Any idea what to do now?" He asked her.

"Honestly? Kill my ex. His name is King. He had it changed. I think it was something like Nicholas originally. I dated him for power, and the next drug lord too. And the one after that. Then I dated a wrestler motorcycle chick. She punched out King's two front teeth, and has broken a lot of bones for me. Then one day she wanted to settle down with me. I don't do settling. They were still after me, and what would happen if came after me and she's not there? So I had to ditch on her. I broke her heart, but I hafta survive. We're still good friends though. She lives here in New York, sometimes I drop by her bar for a few drinks and a laugh." She shrugged and sighed. "So I vowed on the moon to never love or get attached to anyone again, except for sorta-kinda friends that will help me. Give me a roof over my head when I'm in town. I don't mind the runners life. It's fun and fast paced, and ya never know what the next day will bring."

"Sounds exciting, but also pretty dangerous…You'll definitely be able to show me the ropes." He thought for a second, "Does this King guy know your ex that lives in New York? Do you think she'll get questioned?"

"Yeah he does, and he probably already has. But as far as I know, she's won 2 womens wrestling champs for the WWE and is on her way to winning the third. So we may not see him for a while, if he's heading over there today."

"That sounds very promising." Pierce responded truthfully, "Do you still want to hang out right now or are you heading back to your apartment soon?" He asked
(Maybe she suggests a game or something, if she's staying??)

"How about a board game?" She asked, kicking her feet back and forth slowly.

"Okay, you can look in the little cabinet down there and choose. I'll play whatever you want. Beware the games are mostly dusty and old, I think." He told her.

She opened up the cabinet and began to dig through the games, and sneezing a lot. "Hmm…Maybe Mario won't be so bad after all." She put it all back and shut the cabinet, and headed out to the living room.

Pierce lightly laughed and followed her out to the living room, running a hand through his hair, 'Okay, ill go ahead and pull it out…Mario Kart or Super Brothers?"

"Mario Kart." She nodded and plopped back onto the couch.

"Okay." Pierce slid the game into the console and handed, Starla a Wii controller and a wheel attachment and took the same for himself, "Sorry, since I don't play games much, the latest console I have is the Wii."

"That's alright I guess. I personally love video games when I can play them." She smiled a bit, and ran a hand through her hair before setting up the wii remote and wheel.

Pierce got into the game and clicked start, before clicking the multiplayer button which brought them to the choose your character screen.

(I haven't played Wii version of Mario Kart in forever omg, I play the WiiU Mario Kart 8 version)

Starla chose Ghast, struggling to pick it though. "I don't like wii all that much, tires your arms out." (I only have a wii gaming system though i'm getting a switch for christmas)

Pierce chose Yoshi, he always chose that when he played a lot, how could he not? Yoshi was fricking awesome, "Yeah a bit…" He responded.

(I wish I had a switch…I really want the newer PKMN games, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and Minecraft…)

(Definitely.) "Oh well. Why not get any newer gaming systems?" She asked as she waited for him to pick a map.

"I feel it would just be wasted, becoming I would probably never play it." Pierce said, picking the special cup.

She began to play, and was ruthless. She was good at planning things out so they'd get hit by you, and knowing how to scatter things as she went along. She even hummed a bit. "Well, you not playing much oh so obviously shows."

Pierce sighed as he fell to 9th place, “Oh god…we’re only on lap two of Dry Dry Ruins! I’m going to hell once we get to Rainbow Road…” he muttered.

As soon as she reached Rainbow Road she set down the controller, and stretched her hands. "Jeeze I mean I figured you didn't play much, but CMON! Figured you would've caught onto my technique by now. I've been letting you win a few times just so ya don't feel so bad. But of course not THIS time."

Pierce laughed, “Yeah well, that’s what I get. I’m slow and bad at games, go ahead and win. I’ll most likely be driving off the sides of the course.” He replied.

She then threw a banana, and won. "Haha you loser!" She did a happy dance right on the couch. It felt good to her to just let loose, relax a bit.

He smiled at her and laughed, “Good job.”
