A smile spread across Pierce’s face, “No, no, of course not. Casual clothing is perfectly fine.” He replied
Night Time Lovers
"Good. Are we goin' out or what?" She asked as she pulled on some socks and her sneakers.
Pierce nodded, “Yeah let’s go! Where do you want to eat at?” He asked.
"Dunno." She shrugged, not really caring where they went. She grabbed her backpack, hid everything away, and shut the door.
“Okay, well…there’s a diner nearby, how about that?” Pierce suggested, looking at her for conformation.
"Sure." She shrugged, and walked alongside him.
"Great." Pierce responded and led her through the hall, down the stairs, and down into the streets, where they began to walk to the diner. After a few minutes of silence, Pierce looked over at Starla, "Umm, do you need me to get you money or anything? Take you shopping or something to make you feel a little bit more comfortable and so you don't have to wear the same everyday?" He asked. He was concerned about how she was living and truly wanted to make sure she had everything she needed. Pierce was always willing to help people, anytime, any place.
(Man I can't wait for them to start travelling together and begin to fall in love, it'll be awesome. I have really high hopes for how this role play turns out)
(YES ME TOO!) "I ain't no fucking charity case, and I have a VERY limited amount of items I can take with me. It all must fit in my bag, for when I skip town onto the next place. "And I have ways of gettin' cash always, so bugger off." She retorts as she walks along, then sets down her bag, pulls on her hoodie, and zips it up again, returning to walking.
Pierce frowned, "Sorry," he replied, "I didn't mean to offend you." He stepped a few steps ahead of Starla towards the door of the diner and opened it for her.
"Thanks." She walked through the door of the diner, combing her fingers through her hair, still trying to look a little bit presentable.
A waiter sat them in a booth and the two sat across each other. Pierce handed Starla a menu and he looked down at his own, scanning over the food items.
She sat there, and even with someone paying she still tended to look at the prices not the food, living cheaply. She was unsure really of what to get.
Pierce ended up choosing from the breakfast menu, 3 hot cakes and bacon. “Have you chosen, Starla?” He asked, looking up at her.
"The burger looks really good but it's so pricey…" She sighed as she tried to find something cheaper that she liked.
Pierce blinked and smiled, “Get you whatever you want. I’m paying so it’s okay.”
"Really? Ya sure about that?" She asked, looking up from the menu. "Including dessert?" Her eyes shone a little bit, as she began to soften up just a smidge around him, not as stand offish as she was.
Pierce nodded, “Yeah, go ahead! Get whatever you want.”
She smiled a little bit, but quickly buried her face in the menu so he couldn't see.
The waiter came back over a few minutes later to take their orders, “I’ll take the three hot cakes and bacon please.” Pierce said, “Go ahead Starla.”
"Uhm, a burger with fries please, and a coca-cola. Please." She nodded once. The waitress smiled. "Alright, and is that all for the lovely couple?" Starla blushed and looked away, clearly dismayed by being seen as his girlfriend. The thought of it made her sick.
Pierce blushed as well, “Um, t-that’s all. But we aren’t a couple…” he assured the waiter who just smirked and nodded. After the waiter left Pierce nervously laughed, “Well…that was embarrassing…”
She nodded as she looked over the desserts. "Yeah. A lot of the world is like that. I can't go to restaurants like this with guy friends, I get assumed I'm dating the dude almost every time." She shook her head.
“True…”. Pierce agreed, “I have a hard time going out to dinner with a female coworker so we can talk about business stuff, but the same thing always happens.” He said with a sigh.
"Oh well. People suck like that I guess." She shrugged as she looked around the diner. Everyone here looked like a Karen. She kept getting weird looks for her height, and her hair as well. All of her looks was completely out of this world. And she relished in it, and adored the negative attention.
Pierce nodded and thought for a moment. “Um if you don’t mind me asking…when are you leaving town again? I know a few days ago you told me in a week or two, but do you have an exact day planned?”
"Nope. Just whenever I get a hot lead on my brother. Might be tomorrow, might be next week. I stay somewhere a month at the most before just striking out on my own. I go to New York the most though, so if you keep an eye out you'll see me around. Off and on. Why do you care anyways?"
"I was just curious, that's all." Pierce responded, "What did your brother do to you? You don't have to answer, if you don't want to."
"How do you know he did somethin' to me?" She asked, looking up at him.
"I…I don't know, just whenever you mention him, you don't seem too fond of him…" Pierce answered uncertanly.
"I ain't. He's a manwhore slut who ruined our whole entire family, and ran my mom into over a million dollars in debt, and managed to kill like 3 people, while chasing mini skirts. But he's gay now. Ain't stoppin' me from killing the bastard though."
