Liam hummed a small tune as he flicked through the channels, scribbling note down at the same time.

Zackary finally ran out of air and poked his head out of the couch, wondering if Liam would notice.

Liam didn't notice at first but as he placed his notebook on the table he saw, "Why are you under the pillows of the couch?"

(fuck let me change that xD)

Zackary turned his head slowly. “Why aren’t I?”

Liam chuckled, "I don't know. You're so strange."

“I am very strange. Very, very strange.” Zackary stared at Liam for a few moments. “Anyway, I like your couch, so I am your couch.”

Liam laughed, "Can you not be my couch? It's just a couch."

“I like your couch. Your couch and I have an intimate relationship now, since you were so slow on uptake.”

Liam rolled his eyes, "Why have I decided to put up with you? The answer is a mystery to me."

“I dunno. To be honest I’m just trying to be as annoying as possible to see how much stupidity you can take.” Zackary smiled a lopsided smile.

"I lived with two annoying brothers for most of my life, I can take a lot and that is not a challenge." Liam raised an eyebrow.

Zackary set his head down on the cusion of the couch. “Good, cuz I felt like I was being really annoying.”

"Eh, borderline." Liam gave the other a smile.

Zackary shrugged. “I’ll just stay here. I think my back is broken which is great too.

"How'd you break your back?" Liam asked, moving closer to the other.

“Well I don’t know if it is or not but it hurts like I did.” Zackary blinked at Liam.

Liam frowned, "Maybe move to a different position that isn't in my couch and see if that helps. If not we should go to the hospital."

Zackary shrugged. “I’m good. In this economy I won’t be able to retire.”

"Are you sure? Do you want any pain meds or something?" Liam bit his lip.

“Nah, I’ll be fine.” Zackary relaxed. His back really waa hurting, but he ignored it.

"You're sure you're sure?" Liam pressed, his face a mask of concern.

“Iiiii’m sorta kinda not positive, I’ll deal with it.” Zackary’s voice sounded strained.

Liam stood, "You're in pain, I can see it," He walked to got a glass of water and some pain meds before bringing them to Zackary, "Take them, or I'll force you to go to hospital."

“Nah, I’m good.” Zackary gave Liam a pained smile.

"Take. them." Liam pushed them into the others hand.

(Zackary’s hands are currently trapped under the cusion)

“Nah, I’m good bro bro.” Zackary shifted only to wince in pain.

"I will force them down your throat." Liam frowned.

Zackary rolled his eyes. “This is where I’d make a dirty joke but I’m not really feeling up to it.”

"Maybe next time you will if you take the damn meds." Liam pushed.

“I don’t think you’d take to kindly to it, either, you’re not really the type to like jokes like that,” Zackary determinedly trucked on.
