"Why don't you want to take them? It's not that hard to swallow a couple pills." Liam replied.

“I’ll be fiiiiiiine. I don’t need painkillers.” He grinned.

Liam frowned at him before placing them on the coffee table, "I'm taking a shower." He muttered before walking off.

Zackary blinked as he was left. That pain was inching down to his legs, aking his toes feel numb. This was a bad idea.

Liam mumbled curses to himself as he showered, not wanting to leave the other by himself for too long even if he didn't want to admit it. He threw some clean clothes on and walked back out.

Zackary stirred unhappily. This is actually the most painful thing I’ve done in a while. He tried to wiggle his toes back to life but no avail.

"Zackary… you have to go get some help." Liam said as he walked back in, biting his lip, "Please…"

“No, I’m fine.” Zackary looked over with a wince.

"Please…" Liam said quietly, sitting down in front of him.

Zackary watched him move with the occasional wince as his neck twinged. “No, I’m okay, Liam.”

"You're one of the worst lies I've ever met," Liam laughed a little, "Zackary, you're not okay and it's clear as day."

“I just need to get out of this couch, which’ll happen with time. I’m not worried about it.”

"You are, I can tell."

Zackary blew a raspberry. “I’m in pain but not worried about it.”

"So you finally admit you're in pain. Please, can I take you to hospital?"

“No. I don’t need a hospital.” Zackary would wave a hand if they weren’t stuck.

"Yes you do." Liam stood and tried to peel away the cushions on the couch.

Zackary felt an extreme rush of pain when Liam tried to pull the cusions. “Let’s not do that, Liam.”

"How am I supposed to get you out then?" Liam asked.

“Don’t. Just leave me here to rot.” Zackary tried a grin that ended up in a wince.

"I'm not leaving you to rot." Liam said as he quickly pulled away the cushion before the other had time to protest.

Zackary gasped in pain as his body leaned forward suddenly. “fPPHUCK WHY DID YOU DO THAT?”

Liam smirked, "You're sitting up aren't you? And now you can actually get up from the couch."

“I can’t even feel my feet what makes you think I’ll be able to support weight on them??” Zaclary looked up at him.

"Since I can't get you to the hospital, I'll call an ambulance because you're going no matter what now." Liam replied, grabbing his phone.

“Noooo that’d cost more! I’m fine!” Zackary tried to stand but his legs took a warning of buckling under him.

"I don't care. You're health is important." Liam replied right before he rang the ambulance service and told them what happened.

Zackary stumbled up messily, his legs protesting. “See! I’m fine!”

Liam didn't respond until he hung up the phone, "You're legs are shaking, you're in pain. The ambulance will be here shortly."

Zackary shook his head. “I’m not in pain, I’m fine!”
