"I'll take it as a statement because I don't know if I'll be able to control myself if I take it as an offer." She wanted him so damn bad but reigned herself in.
One on One - Romance - So very cliche because I need it right now
"If you say so…" He wasn't going to tell her otherwise. Instead, he simply continued to kiss her, deeping it little by little.
"You know what, screw it, I can't take this anymore." She tried to keep herself a little bit controlled even as she let the fires swallow her whole. Her hands spread across his torso, just seeing what they'd find until something cold brushed against her palm. And that's a button. Oh do I dare?
His breathing quickened as her hands moved, not stopping her. When her hand hit the button, he held his breath. Do you?
Her mind was still weighing the options when she felt her fingers undo it anyway. They really did have a mind of their own today, not that she was complaining.
A small noise escaped from his mouth before he could stop it. "I, uh. Whoa…"
Her face immediately flushed red. "Sorry, sorry, I went too far, didn't I? I-It was an unconscious decision, I-I didn't mean to." She shrunk back, embarrassed.
"No, it's, uh- It's fine." He cleared his throat seeing as how it seemed a little higher than usual. "I just. It just surprised me; I've never really…" He hesitated. "Yeah."
"Yeah me neither…" She glanced up at him, biting her bottom lip in thought. "Maybe we could be each other's first?"
"I don't know…" He wasn't entirely sure if he wanted this quite yet. Yes, he wanted her as close as she could be, but he didn't want to move things too quickly. Especially with his sister in the other room. "Amelia is… I… I don't know…" He didn't want to seem like such a jerk for backing out when he had gone far too.
"No, i-it's fine, it's your decision." She shrunk back even further, highly embarrassed. She was mentally kicking herself for such a stupid decision.
"It's fine, it's fine." He took her hands. He could feel her breaking herself down. "Please don't think so hardly of yourself. I don't want you to. Please, I promise, it's not you."
She could barely look up, much less look him in the eye. "I'm still really sorry." She shrunk back into herself, pulling herself away.
He felt terrible. Dang it! You doofus! You mess everything up! He wanted to bring her back, to hold her close, but he was afraid she'd just back away.
She glanced up slowly, her eyes trailing him and reminding her why she'd done it in the first place. "You might, um, want to fix that. Before I really do something I'm going to regret."
He was confused at first. He followed her eyes down to his chest and realized what she meant. Heat rose to his cheeks. "Oh, uh, yeah. Sorry." He buttoned it back up.
"I-I'm so sorry, I u-understand if you want to go." She back away slowly, feeling more upset with herself than with him.
He looked back up to here surprise. "Go? I don't want to go." He paused. "If you want me to, I mean, I will."
"No no no, that's not what I'm saying." She said quickly. "I-I was just saying if you were uncomfortable and didn't want to stay, you could go and I-I wouldn't be upset."
"Well, I don't want to." He looked to her with a look even he didn't recognize. "Not at all."
She bit her lip softly, looking up at him through her lashes. She was a bit surprised but also relieved that he didn't want to just abandon her.
Gosh goodness gracious. She was so adorable. "You're so amazing. And I ove you." That look made the stars disappear. Brighter and closer than the sun was the brightest star in the Galaxy. The only one he would ever need.
She smiled a tiny bit. "I love you too." He was her masterpiece that she got to have and admire but she was so scared of dropping him and having the heart wrenching feeling of watching him shatter across the floor.
That smile… He took her by the hand and brought her closer so that he could place his forehead on hers. "I love you more."
Her smile only grew, just the smallest bit. She knew she really didn't deserve him, he deserved so much more than what she could provide, but here they were. "Prove it."
He smiled back. "How? There's no real way to prove that an infinity exists."
"Well nothing's impossible, I'm sure there's a way…" And just like that, she was gone. Lost in thought as she tried to go through her thought experiment.
He watched as she thought, not wanting to stop She looked so beautiful when she thought like that. He could almost hear her train of thought as it travelled from station to station as fast as it could. He chuckled a little. "Ivy. I love you too much, and you'll just have to believe me when I say I'll love you forever by being with me as I love you in the now."
She snapped out of her thoughts, her eyes flicking up to meet his and she couldn't help but smile. She really didn't deserve him. "Sorry, I live in a fantasy world. It's called my head."
His smile widened. "Oh, what I would give to spend a day in siad fantasy world. It must be magical."
