(Ooo…this is evil but it works…)
Then, something caught her attention. A black line on her wrist. At first, she didn't think much of it. She was an artist and she'd been drawing that morning, it was probably just pen. Well, that was until it started moving and spreading. And then it clicked. The darkness flowed like black ink, traveling through her veins up her arms and neck. She swore under her breath. "Not today, why today?" She pulled herself back, leaning against the counter. She just had to wait it out.

(Evil tends to be a good plot twist)
A confused look spread across his face. "Uh, everything okay?" It took a second for him to notice the shadows in her veins. "Whoa whoa whoa whoa. What's that?"

@Elder-God-Jacks347

It travelled up her neck into her face and she squeezed her eyes shut. When she opened them again, they were pitch black. She hated this, she always hated this, but there was nothing she could do about it for now.

He backed up as a reflex amd immediately hated himself for it. "Uh, umm. Ivy?" His back hit the counter which stopped him. "Are you okay?"

"Just stay back." Her voice almost seemed to glitch, like it wasn't hers. "It'll pass, it always does." She dropped to the floor, her eyes squeezing shut again. She could almost feel the blackness pulsing in her skin.

He rushed forward and caught her in his arms. "Whoa whoa whoa!" He watched at her veins continued to darken. "What's going on?"

"Power withdrawal." The glitchiness had only increased. "Just give it a minute." She opened her eyes again, looking up at him. "Please don't be scared, I won't hurt you."

"I-" He couldn't lie and say he wasn't scared, but he trusted her. "Alright. I believe you. What do I do?" She seemed to be in so much pain and it hurt him to see her like this. "Really, anything. I'll do it."

Relax! You have to relax! "Just…stay still for a second." Before she could think this completely through, she pulled him down onto her lips, hoping it would relax her. And sure enough, it did and the darkness started to fade.

Jackson was surprised at first, but just went with it. He kissed her back a little, careful not to move too much. Whoa…

She stood there for another minute or two until she finally felt it drain from her system, like a huge weight had been lifted off her. She pulled back to look at him. "I'm sorry about all that, it happens sometimes."

(I'm soooorrryyyy mental issues and jazz)

It surprised him when she pulled back, but he let her. He took a good look at her. Seems to be normal. "I, uh. Explanation, maybe? Or not, I'm cool. I'm fine. I just. I whoa."

(It's all good!)
And right on cue, the light-headedness that came with the withdrawal swept over her and she stepped back into his arms, dropping her head on his shoulder. "Can we just…not for a minute?"

Her falling caught him off guard, but he caught her quickly. "I, uh, yeah." He just stood there holding her for a minute before adding, "Do you want me to carry you to the couch?"

"Please, I think I'm about to fall over." She muttered weakly. She hated when this happened, why did it have to happen today?

"Alright." He picked her up gently, making sure her arms were wrapped around his neck as he carried her bridal style to the couch. This worried him. It was sudden, almost like… He wasn't even sure what it was like. He gently put her down on the couch. "I, uh, do you need a blanket? Water? Umm, pillow?" He started to list off random things unsure of what to do to help.

She smiled weakly. Even when he could've been seriously hurt, he still cared about her. "Just a glass of water, please. Other than that, I just need some time."

He nodded a few times, hearing her words but still in a little bit of shock. It took a few seconds for it to register before he walked to the kitchen to fill up a glass. I don't understand…

She covered her face with her hands, groaning softly. She hated this so much and of course, it had to happen the one day she had someone over before she got the chance to explain that this could happen.

(sorry)
He was too busy thinking to realize the cup had begun to overflow until the water was flowing onto his skin. Crap. He turned off the water and poured some out before cleaning up. After making sure there was no more water puddles, he walked back to Ivy, cup in hand. "Here ya go."

She took it from him, sipping slowly. "Thanks." She couldn't even look at him, she felt too embarrassed. How could she explain what had just happened without sounding absolutely insane?

He sat beside her and looked at her. He could see her refusing to meet his eyes. "Hey," he tapped her nose with his finger. "It's gonna be okay. I promise, I'm not scared. Just… Confused. Yeah. Confused."

She glanced up at him, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "Well that's a relief. But that doesn't mean it's not going to be impossible to explain." Her smile faded and her eyes dropped. How was she going to explain this?

(sorry once again )

He looked to the ground for a few moments, silence filling the air. Of course he wanted to know what had just happened, but he wasn't going to force her to do anything. "You. You don't have to tell me right now."

"Are you sure?" She glanced at him, still nervous. "I know you want an explanation, it's just…hard to describe."

"Well…" He thought for a second, looking away. "I mean, yeah. I want to know so I can help, but don't worry. I won't press you for information. It seems like something that'd be hard to describe."

"Please don't be scared of me." Her voice was small and nervous. "I won't hurt you, it just happens sometimes."

"I won't." Jackson leaned over and kissed her forehead. "I won't," he repeated. "I believe you."

She let out a small breath of relief. At least one person believed that she wasn't a monster when she was like that.

"Are… Are you okay though?" He looked to her. "Is it, like, hurting you?" He could care less if we was the one who wound up hurt, but he wouldn't be able to handle it if sue was hurting.
