He caught the pillow in mid air, his face flinching slightly as the sudden motion aggravated his ribs. "I chose to just combine my first and last name and be done with it. Anthony is not a very good pirate name, either."

"No, it's not. Neither is Aeleis, Rosia, or Valhalla. I protest to my name." She grabbed another pillow and hugged it to her chest, eyes trailing over the room curiously, checking everything out when it was all upside down.

You don't drink," She started ticking everything off as she spoke, "When you did fight, you were better unarmed than almost the entire crew, you've been classified as the first mate's 'pet,' you're less relaxed than the rest of the crew, you're posher and more uptight than the crew." She looked up at him. "Need I say more?"

She sighed heavily as if sadly guessing correctly that he would pick up on that particular example. "Because I pay more attention to you than the rest of them, and when I do pay attention to them, it's not exactly for hugs and kisses."

"Like you give me hugs and kisses?" He sat up and frowned, crossing his arms over his stomach because he assumed it would hurt if it were over his chest. "I am not your pet."

"I never said you were," she defended herself, "That's their thought process. I have no control over that." She groaned and pulled herself up, holding her head from the sudden change of position and not being upside-down anymore.

"Probably because you're too busy sulking?" she offered, holding her head as she grumbled, a slight wince as a significant pounding of a headache. "Why is it so upsetting anyway? It's just words."

She tilted her head. "Maybe just some general soldiers. Good at what they do without causing too much trouble. Capable of jumping into action at a moment's notice."

"I don't trust you to be on your own without getting yourself hurt," she said, giving him a knowing look. "You're not leaving my sight." She paused. "And same goes for me. I don't trust myself to not wander off and get distracted."

"Yeah," she said with a nod, then headed to the door and opened it. She looked back at him with a warning look once again. "Remember. Fane outside of this room. And Anto," she added, knowing he'd remind her to refrain from princy.

Mumchance was at the wheel of the ship, expertly maneuvering the ship into an open spot in the port. His grey eyes stared straight ahead, completely unaware of Fane approaching.

Fane came up behind Mumchance, then went off to the side and stood next to him. "Cap wanted to talk to you real quick, if he hasn't already," she told him while watching the approaching port.
