"It is true. You have my word."

Paige shook her head and swallowed. Heat rose on her cheeks. "Not… without you."

Jack looked to the ground blushing. He twisted his foot, "Oh. Well, um, thanks?"

"Uh… I'm sorry. I just made it weird…" Paige adjusted her ponytail.

Jack looked up, "No no um not really. Just wasn't expecting it?"

"Well it's true. You have my word," Paige said with a tiny smile.

Jack laughed, "I just said that."

"Now I did," Paige countered.

"But I said it first," a twinkle was in his eye.

"And then I said after you," she giggled.

Jack was laughing now, "You stole my idea. I claim copyright!"

"Too late!" Paige pressed. She hadn't laughed in a while. She forgot how good it felt.

Jack laughed and actually wiped away tears, "Fine then I file a lawsuit for plagiarism."

Paige was helpless to come up with a better response, so she poked him in the ribs and ran, laughing loudly.

Jack laughed and followed after her. He called out, "Oh you better be ready for payback."

"Only if you can catch me!" Paige giggled.

Jack ran a little faster, "Oh I will!"

Paige couldn't run very fast while she laughed, so Jack soon caught her.

Jack laughed as he caught up and started to tickle her furiously.

Paige shrieked and collapsed into him in a fit of giggles.

Jack was laughing and he stopped, his face a bright red.

Paige was still laughing until she realized that she was clinging to him. And everyone was watching. Even her mom.

Jack was blushing profusely. Okay he definitely didn't like this attention.

(scuttles in like a giant terrifying crab)

(Oh my god finally. I thought I'd be here all day without anything to do.)

Paige backed away quickly. "Oh, Jack, I'm sorry," Paige whispered. She didn't only blush, but upon seeing her mom's expression, cried softly too.

Jack looked to her hands raised, "Oh no your fine. Um, I'm sorry for tickling you."
