"Shh…" Paige looked up into his eyes.

Jack looked at her with a smile. His head unbarebly close to hers.

Paige 's stomach flipped. Was it her imagination, or was he getting closer?

Caire seemed to be thinking the same thing. How strange that someone I just met could be so similar to myself? And he's… attractive, as well…

Jack didn’t want to be that guy, but he couldn’t help it as his lips gently brushed against hers.

He bit his lip softly, debating. If I do, she could either freak out or accept it. Who knows. Aghh I don't know what to do.

Paige 's eyes widened, but she closed them and focused on Jack, not her mother.

God, why doesn't he just do it? Guess I'm the one taking initiative here. Caire leaned forward and kissed Brendan.
(The funny thing is, Caire is my dnd character and she has a really good initiative score)

Jack quickly pulled back. Did he mess up?

Oh, nevermind, she did it. Whatever. He kissed her back softly, not wanting to scare her.

Paige 's eyes flickered open. Seeing his worried expression made her heart plummet. Did she do something wrong?

He didn’t meet her eyes, “S-Sorry about that.”

Caire closed her eyes and pulled away after a few seconds.

He smiled at her, chuckling softly. "So that just happened."

(My squishy little awkward emo bean is awkward. Clearly.)

Paige giggled, "Okay, Romeo." She returned the kiss. She didn't care about her mom anymore - right now, it was her and Jack.

Jack smiled as his eyes closed and he kissed her back. Oh thank the lord he hadn’t actually messed up.

"Yeah. And this time, I wasn't acting." Caire smiled.

"Shocking how similar they were though. The first time was acting and the second wasn't yet they were practically the same. Hmm, I wonder why that is."

Paige pressed slightly closer to him. Was this right? It felt right.

"Perhaps the first time was real too." She smiled softly. "But it did work with the script."

Jack’s grip on her became a large loving hug as he held her close to him. He never wanted to let go of her.

"It did. It worked very well. Actually, I think I could've taken that line a little differently, mind retrying it with me?" He winked.

Paige blushed and ran her fingers up to his hair. They stayed there, entwined in his hair. Her face felt warm; she was pulsing with heat.

Jack bit back the sound that wanted to come out. Too soon for that, he thought. His face was a bright red.

"I'm more than willing, Romeo." Caire kissed him again, wrapping her arms around his neck.

That went better than expected. He pulled her as close as he could, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Paige pulled away, slowly, gently. Her eyes took their time opening.

They kissed for a long time, seemingly having forgotten the others in the room temporarily.

People are watching. Shut up and let him be happy with a girl you buzzkill. He didn't want to let go of her. If he did, the moment would be over and he'd never get it back.
