Cleo looked up at her, still chewing some pizza.

Alice quickly looked away while taking a bite of her pizza.

(This is so awkward)

Cleo finished her first slice and picked up a second.

(Alice isn't what I look and act like irl, it's Zyra)

Alice picked up a second and started eating it

(Ya i know but I'd be super awkward)

Cleo started on her second too.

Alice kept glancing at the doorway, as if expecting her dad to burst into the rickety.

(it's a resturant, not a rickety. Rickety is just an adjective i used to describe a table.)

"What are you looking for?"

"Oh, nothing." She lied, feeling slightly guilty.

Cleo blinked at her. "If you say so."

Alice looked away and kept eating while glancing at the doorway every few minutes.

Cleo noticed and decided not to question it.

Alice looked away, still nervous.

Cleo shook her head a little and turned her attention back to her pizza.

Alice quietly ate while glancing around the restaurant.

Cleo finished her second slice and picked up a third.

Alice did the same.

Cleo took a moment to take a sip of her drink and shift around in her chair.

Alice kept eating while glancing at the doorway.

"Why are you doing that? You're clearly worried."

"I feel like my dad is going to come in any minute even though I know he won't." She explained.

"Why are you worrying? Your dad can't hurt you if you're here. And I'll do the best I can to protect you." She realized what she said and turned a faint red.

Alice blushed slightly, "I-uhm-you don't have to."

Cleo grinned bashfully. "I probably would because I'm… noble like that." She puffed her chest out.

"It's fine though, I can take care of myself."

"Yeah, against a full grown man?"

"Well, he's starting to get old so I use that to my advantage."

"Still." Cleo shrugged.

"I've done it several times before."
