Destiny wrinkled her nose but nodded otherwise.
"Destiny," she said, introducing herself. "I am grateful for your help."
If Destiny was surprised, she didn't know it. She had only known herself to be able to kill a horde of Undead on her own, and finding someone with the same strength, possibly more, intrigued her. Remembering Lee, Destiny turned on her heels and went to Lee's hiding spot. Since she was covering in rotting flesh and blood, Destiny didn't want to hug Lee, but the little girl thought nothing of it and instead just tackled Destiny in a hug.
"Dusty!" she exclaimed. "I was so afraid!"
"It's okay, little one," Destiny murmured. "I am okay. I had unexpected help." She said, looking at Orion.
Post-Apocalyptic Roleplay
Neo and her group walked. They didn't know where they were going, but they walked. She finally stopped to pull out a map. "Ok, so we're at west 66th. We need to get to Central Park. It has a few hordes, but we have to go somewhere." She feels hopeless, everyone is tired, but we have to keep moving.
"Who decided to put her in charge?" Multiple men and women screamed from the crowd protesting Neo's leadership.
"Ash?" She turns to him.
"Look." He says his voice booming, but by that time the crowd was too worked up.
"They are going to get violent soon Ash, we should just leave."
He frowns, she was 16 she didn't need this pressure on her, she was just a kid. But, he knew she was right. "Ok, let's leave now." He whispers. "We're leaving." He announced to the crowd. The noise dies down.
They walk off, hand in hand. "What do we do now Ash?"
"Go to Central Park."
Orion wasn't sure if the other loners were surprised by his soft smile towards the girl. Any life in this world was a blessing, young life especially so. Smille dimming when he thought of the Hunt, perhaps not all lives out here were worth celebrating. Taking the opportunity to sit down, he started meticulous cleaning hie weapons for any speck of blood. Most intriguing of them, was a claw like one that he had crafted himself, with a handle gripped in his closed fist. Humming an old song as he works, Orion wonders where he will go from here, wonders if maybe he could travel with Destiny and the girl. Knowing that such thoughts would bear no fruit he shook his head, ridding himself of them. "My name is Orion, I am a wanderer and traveler. It has been to long since I saw any good people out here. Thank you for helping me, or I would have had plenty more scars to add to the mix." Laughing softly, he pulls up his pant leg, where the previous days stitches have come undone. Sighing, he rifles through his bag for his medical supplies, and carefully threads a needle, unflinching as he resows the wound.
(I don't know how to force our paths to meet again.)
(Running from an angry mob is always fun?)
(YESS THIS IS WHY I NEED PEOPLE IN MY LIFE)
(And I know who the mob shall be….)
When Destiny saw the old, uncared wounds on Orion’s leg, she grimaced. She still owed Orion for helping her out, so she figured this was the right way to do so.
“Your back,” she said monotonously, reaching for her bag to take out her medical kit. She grabbed a bag of cotton, some disinfectant, a needle and a thread and a bandage. Without hearing his response, she pulled up his shit and began to clean the wound. The wound wasn’t so bad, it looked at least a day old. It was dried in blood and dirty, and Destiny wondered how it didn’t get infected. She slowly cleaned up the wound, saying nothing. She wasn’t doing this out of the goodness of her heart; she just didn’t like being indebted to someone.
Carefully, Destiny stitched the wound up and lightly the bandage. She moved on to his other, minor wounds on his upper back.
“Dusty learned how to do simple things like this when she was young,” provided Lee happily. “She also taught me a lot of things!”
(We’ll meet again! And this time, I think we should be forced to be a group)
(Let me guess; the Hunt?)
(No, Neo's old group.)
(Ah… so they were terrible too, like Destiny’s.”
(They just abandoned her. brb my mom wants me to get ready for bed.)
(Oh, right. Not as bad then. And okie)
(Well… hell. Ya'll were busy.)
(Extremely so xD you didn’t miss a lot)
(Gabe bolted during all that. He'll run a parrallel. Maybe he'll see the baddies before Destiny and Neo do?)
(Eh I’m cool with that.)
(IDK. We'll see what happens.)
Gabe panted as he climbed up the brick wall, reaching for the last handhold just out of reach. He had slipped out during the chaos, but know he had a pack of ferals following him. The dog-monsters were at his heels, but couldn't do much from down below. Gabriel was attempting to get onto the rooves of the shops, but was having trouble reaching his last ledge. With a huff he pushed off with his foot, just barely managing to grasp the edge and pull himself up.
He turned on the ball of his foot in a crouch and raised his handgun, taking out the 5 ferals with quick headshots. He sighed and fell back on his rear, happy to be away from people again. Fishing for his pair of field glasses, his hand came to rest upon the photo of his old house. He smiled and put it back, then grabbed the binoculars and raised them to his eyes. He looked out at the group as they left, and noticed Neo and her brother as they walked off alone, hand in hand.
The tiny bit of feeling that he had so easily stamped out before came back stronger this time. He tried not to feel. It made survivng a helluva lot harder, he knew. But this was pleasant…
And before he knew what he was doing, he was up and on the move, on a path to intercept and trail the two.
Neola and Ashton silently moved in to central park. They find a relatively tall tree. Ashton boosts Neola up into the tree, then pulling himself up. He grabs a 5x5 ft wood plank. It was just big enough for the both of them. "Ash… what are we gonna do if that prisoner comes for revenge? Will he kill us?"
While Destiny was wiping off the blood from herself with a wet cloth, Lee was doing Orion a favor by keeping him company. Destiny felt a pang of jealousy hit her as she watched Lee talk to Orion with a bright smile. She never seemed to get along with anyone before; they all just seemed to scare her. But she looked at Orion like he was a hero, and it bothered Destiny. She wanted to be the only hero for Lee.
”Lee, take a deep breath,” ordered Destiny quietly. “Drink some water and calm yourself. Your throat will dry up.”
Lee giggled, but obeyed. Orion asked Lee a question which Destiny did not seem to hear, but Lee immediately shook her head.
Once Destiny was done, she packed her bag and swung it over her shoulder. She held out her hand for Lee to take.
“Come, little one,” she said expectantly. “We need to leave before the Undead drop by.”
Lee looked sadly at Orion, and to her surprise, gave him a hug, her tiny arms barely able to wrap around his waist.
“Thank you for helping us again, mister!” She exclaimed, grabbing Destiny’s hand tightly. “Be safe!”
(@»Callie« Orion appreciates the gesture, but used to be an ER nurse/Doctor, he likes your help in cleaning the wound, as he can't reach, but his stitches were fine.)

(Oh! I forgot. Sorry!)
(Edited both my posts~ Thank you for telling me what I got wrong!)
(Perfectly fine)
(@Ca1iCa1 the edited part is okay, right? Destiny hates being in debt because it makes her seem vulnerable, and that’s why she helped Orio with the wound he couldn’t reach.)
(Yup! Orion likes the help, no use having blood poisoning)
(Great~
Now, where is everyone? (: )
Setting his pack down, Gabriel took up residence in a small house across the street from the entrance to Central Park. He fished out a small propane stove and warmed up a can of whole kernal corn. He slid it into a bowl and sat in the second story window, taking in the park and wondering where to begin searching for the two runaways. Sighing, he pulled out the picture of his house and stared at it for a while. It would be nice to revisit, but it was on the other side of the country; Not a fun journey by foot. Sliding back inside, Gabriel packed up his cooking gear and proceeded down Central Park's main trailI. It was better than nothing.
Lee wasn’t as upset as Destiny assumed she would be. The minute they set out, the girl fell sleepy again and Destiny carried her sleeping form to wherever they were headed. With luck on her side, Destiny didn’t run into any Undead, not thieves or any members of the Hunt. She hoped that the horde she had set in one of the Hunt’s groups had eaten every single one of them.
Destiny didn’t know how long she had been walking, but soon she grew tired. It seemed that she had reached Central Park, and she assumed it would be a good place to hide and recover her strength. She was hungry, too, so she pulled out a pack of Pringles and started eating, adjusting Lee on her lap so she wouldn’t be uncomfortable.
Sad to see the kid go, Orion was slow in packing up his things. Cursing himself, for not asking to travel with Destiny and her young charge. Life was something to be protected out here, and he had let them go without at least asking. Looting some food from already picked over houses, he pressed onward. Orion had heard that there was a group of survivors living in Central Park, so he sets off for it. Taking out a few Undead along the way, one less in the world for other people to deal with. Arriving, he sat for a moment and just looked around at the still green trees, breathing the slightly cleaner air. Climbing a tree, he sat, and just watched the world go by.
Destiny looked at Lee with sharp eyes, making the little girl squirm.
"Dusty, I'm fine," the girl whined. "I'm okay! I can walk!" she struggled in Destiny's arms, trying to slip down but the older woman's grip was too strong.
"You are not fine," Destiny said, turning away from Lee. "You are still pale. You can hardly walk without tripping or stumbling. If an Undead drops by, I want you where I can protect you."
"How will you protect me if you're holding me, Dusty?" the little girl argued.
"I'll manage," Destiny reached a clothes store and went inside, looking at dresses after dresses. She reached an aisle for children's clothes and found a few dresses for Lee. She then let Lee pick out an outfit for herself, knowing Lee liked doing that for her. When they were done, Destiny swept the place with her eyes, trying to find people she had to stay away from. Her eyes landed on the guy who had attempted to mug her, and Orion.
Yeah, two people she really had to keep her distance from. Orion was fine, but the other man would give Lee a fright.
