"Yes you are." Ace smiled, "Love you more, little dude."

"Am not." Blake draped his wing over Ace protectively as a nurse walked by the door.

Ace patted Blake's feathers.

Skylar thought. "I dont really know. You?" She asked.

"Scratches." Blake demanded, exposing his softer feathers.

Ace nodded and began preening Blake's feathers.

Ace smiled and patted Blake's head, "Don't get too excited."

"Beats me," Peter replied.

Blake smoothed out his hair with his hand, leaving his wing extended for Ace to preen. He shut his eyes, simply muttering: "More."

Frankie sat across the room a little bit too tired to do anything except watch.

"I know." she giggled, flipping her hair and batting her eyelashes. "and You are so handsome. This hospital color really brings out your eyes!"

He burst into laughter, "Hospital color?"

"Yeah, well, I don't know. cream? White? Pastel?" She asked, bursting into laughter herself.

"Either way…" he chuckled.
