The lady came back with two plates of steaming meat and pita.
"Woah," Cruz's interest sharply peaked.
She grinned, passing him the plate. “Like I said, heaven.”
He held a big grin, "Ooo…"
“What?”, she laughed. “It’s just meat on a stick.”
"It just looks so yummy."
"And it tastes wayyyyyy better than it looks!"
He picked it up to try a bite.
Fae picked up her own lamb souvlake, biting into the soft meat. The jiuce and sauces pooled on her plate, and she took some french fries, soaking them in it.
Cruz ate slowly, looking like he was in bliss.
Fae burst out laughing. "I told you it was good!"
(honestly though souvlaki is my absolute favorite it is a BLESSED CREATION)

"Yyyyesss," he groaned.
She let out another chuckle. "Here try some of mine. It's lamb, yours is pork." She handed him her kebab.
He took it up to steal a generous bite out of.
“Hey! Lamb thief!”, she yelled, leaning forward to snatch it back with a laugh.
"Ith good!" He laughed back through his mouthful.
“Eat your own then!”
"Ith tho fun to mesth with you,"
She stuck her tongue out at him playfully.
He stuck his tongueout right back.
She finished off her food and waited for him to finish.
He took a lot longer than she dis, trying to savor every molecule.
The sunlight spilled over Fae’s shoulders and she took a breath of the salty breeze, listening to the sound of waves crashing against the surf. The sky above was blue, contrasting with the sand beach if the lake.
(I’ve actualky been to a lake with golden sand and turquoise water, it looked exactly like the sea)
