"Ah, okay," Aurelius replied under his breath.
He had his hands buried deep in Silver's fur, and he was hanging on firmly, but in a relaxed, gentle manner. If there wasn't anyone else around, he would've laid down and buried his face in Silver's soft coat.

Silver let a low, inaudible, growl of pleasure at the other's touch rise in his throat, he made sure Aurelius could hear it, looking back at him for a moment with a wolfish smile.

Aurelius' heart fluttered a little bit and he smiled back. He felt like he was melting.

Silver grinned as he focused back on his pawsteps. *Why is he so adorable?"

"Has anyone said how much further?" Aurelius asked.
He didn't want to bother Silver with riding for extended periods of time.

"Unfortunately no." Said Silver. "And don't worry about riding. I don't tire easily."

He sighed and rested his head on the back of Silver's neck.

Silver's ears twitched lightly when Aurelius hand moved.

Aurelius hand kept still where he put it. He took in Silver's warmth and slowly felt himself beginning to fade out.

As they came to a stop, Aurelius jolted awake.
"Wait… are we here already? I just… I thought I only drifted off for a minute there."

Silver chuckled, "yeah, you kinda slept most of the day…"

Aurelius slowly started to sit up and climb off Silver's back.
"I slept plenty last night. I don't know why I'm so tired…"

"I'm probably overthinking it. I'm still recovering, right?" Aurelius said, trying to sound dismissive, when in reality he sounded more worried.

Silver shufted once the other was clear. "That's what worries me. You should be good, but you're not."

"I'm not sure what's wrong, then."

Silver put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, we'll figure it out ok?"

"Yeah. Hopefully it doesn't end up hurting me, whatever it is, but I have bad feelings about it, you know?" Aurelius replied.

Silver sighed "whatever it is it definitely isn't normal."

Aurelius put a hand near his mouth and lightly grazed his teeth against his thumbnail.
"I'm going to be honest, I thought I might be getting really depressed again between the weird sleep patterns, no energy, and everything else, but that doesn't seem quite right, as I don't really feel bad. Like I'm happy. About as happy as I get."

"And I don't feel physically sick, either," Aurelius said softly.
(So he doesn't remember them doing the magic drain on him, but it's that he doesn't remember, not that he didn't know. It's kind of repressed because of whatever weird state they had him in when doing the magic drain, if that makes sense.)
